Spring may mean warmer temperatures, but it can bring rainy spells too. ☔

When roads are wet, stopping distances will be at least double those required for stopping on dry roads, so it’s important you know how to drive in these conditions.

Next time you're driving in wet weather, remember to:

🚗 keep well back from the vehicle in front
⚠️ if the steering becomes unresponsive, ease off the accelerator and slow down gradually
🛢️ watch out for any spilt diesel as this will make surfaces very slippery
🚲 take extra care around pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and horse riders

Congratulations on passing your driving test. But if you want to keep driving you need to keep within the speed limits for the road.

New drivers can lose their licence if they get 6 or more points in the first 2 years.

🚨 Important changes to driving test booking rules are coming.

From 31 March 2026, learner drivers and approved driving instructors (ADIs) will only be able to make 2 changes to a driving test booking.

A change includes:
- changing the date or time
- changing the test centre
- swapping a test between 2 learners

This is part of the outcome of our consultation to improve the way driving tests are booked.

CONGRATULATIONS FINLEY.

So for those of you who don’t know, Iv been teaching my nephew to drive. Driving is a two part process and the first part of that process is to pass a theory test and hazard perception test. The national pass rate for this test is at present 45.2%, that’s that’s 4.5 people out of every 10 that walk through the door that leave with a smile on there face. Part to of this to follow.

We are aware of misleading articles claiming the driving theory test is ‘’changing’’ in September 2025.

There are currently no plans to bring in any such changes to the driving theory test.
