Little visitor in the office today. Titan the staffy. He’s been enjoying belly rubs & biscuits whilst his dad was busy making improvements to the staff facilities.

If you have a furry, four legged friend, they are more than welcome to wait with you in our waiting room.

One of our recent tyre nightmares 😱😱😱😱
As you can see this tyre was completely bald.

The key dangers of bald tyres are;
* AQUAPLANING - lacking grooves to channel water away, the tyre will float on wet roads & lose grip.
* LONGER STOPPING DISTANCES - braking takes significantly more distance, increasing crash risks.
* BLOWOUTS & PUNCTURES - the remaining rubber is thin & weak, making sudden failures more likely.

In the UK we have laws & penalties when it comes to tyres.
LEGAL LIMIT - tread depth must be at least 1.6mm across the central three quarters of the tread.
FINES & POINTS - driving with illegal bald tyres can cost up to £2500 & 3 penalty points per tyre!
MOT FAILURE - bald tyres are an immediate MOT failure.

Not only are bald tyres unsafe, they are illegal. Remember to check your tyres & if you’re ever unsure, our friendly team will be more than happy to carry out tyre safety checks!
