WHEN OLD FLAMES COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU… 🤣❤️

You don't see ’em for years, then suddenly they start crawling out of the woodwork! 👀

Pretty sure this is our third MK3 RS Custom Turbo this year… coincidence, or is the old girl brigade finally realising where the good doctors are? 🤔🤣

Anyway, feast your eyes on another absolutely pristine example of the legendary MK3 Es**rt RS Turbo — the car we all grew up lusting after, before insurance premiums and mortgage payments crushed our dreams! ❤️

A genuine little time capsule with just 39,000 miles on the clock. Not a single crack or bow in the dashboard, and carpets and seats that look like they've had a quieter life than most of us!

Of course, time waits for no man… or Es**rt. Even these legendary old girls develop the odd wrinkle and a few mechanical complaints along the way.

This one's a recent purchase by a local lad who's sensibly entrusted it to KMS to give her a thorough once-over and make sure everything is as it should be. 👌🏻

She's an absolute beauty, and at around 40 years old, she's a proper piece of motoring history.

Although, at least this Es**rt has a documented history, a respectable mileage, and no awkward questions about where she's been! 🤣🤣🤣

Some classics simply get better with age… and some jokes practically write themselves!

10 YEARS OF FUN…
AND NOW IT’S ROUND TWO! 💥

Well, well, well… after a decade of service since we last built this engine, it’s found its way back to KMS Motorsport for a little reunion!

For those who don’t know the history, this car originally arrived with us IN BOXES a month after another garage had supposedly built it. 🔩

Fast forward to today, and we’ve been getting reacquainted with some old friends… namely rods 1 & 2, which have clearly been having a bit of a meltdown! 🔥

The cause? LOW OIL! 🛢️❌

As you can see, the bearings have effectively handed in their resignation, leaving the rods showing the effects of a little too much heat. 🥵

As we’d already diagnosed, it was time to strip the engine down and get some concrete confirmation of what was going on inside.

10 years later, and the old girl is back for another chapter. The question is… how much more fun is this one going to cost?
