Here We Go Again

Another day, another Mk3 Focus RS engine… another casualty. 💥

At this point, the Mk3 RS engine bay needs its own Missing Persons department.

No.4 cylinder has once again decided it’s had enough of this life and has started looking for an exit strategy.

No4..... No4, where for art thou No4.....

These engines certainly know how to make power… unfortunately, they also know how to make expensive holes in things!

So, once again, it’s engine-out time.
Time to strip it, find the carnage, source the relevant parts and give this RS a stronger, forged lease of life.

Beware apparently No.4 has a very short fuse of recent.

Knock Knock…

“Knock knock,” said No.4…
before bending, snapping, and virtually sawing the block in half!

Another MK3 RS with an ignition timing spike, basically pushing the engine’s self-destruct button. 🆘💥

Unfortunately, this one didn’t get the memo about keeping the rods inside the block… 🤦

But fear not — we’ve sourced the relevant parts to rebuild this RS engine and forge it, bringing this one a new lease of life. 😎

From “knock knock” to “boost boost” once again! 😉

Anyway, moving swiftly on before this gets any more awkward… 😂

Vehicle optimisation, in simple terms, is actually a lot like the human body:

🫁 1. Breathing - Induction
Get the air in efficiently.

🍔 2. Food - Fueling / Remap
Give it what it needs to make the power.

💨 3. Excretion - Exhaust Flow
Get those gases out quickly.

Basically… breathe in, fuel up, blow out. 😂

It’s all about getting the balance right - because just like us, an engine that can breathe properly, gets the right nutrition and can clear its lungs is going to perform a whole lot better!

Exhaust, snorkel & software.....
