Car Mechanic/Technician – Wigan, Greater Manchester.

An excellent opportunity has arisen at Marus Bridge MOT Centre for a Car Mechanic/Technician to join our growing team in Wigan.
Marus Bridge MOT Centre are an independent, family run business that has been trading for 12 years. We specialise in a wide range of vehicle repairs, maintenance, and servicing. We also offer Class 2, 4, 7 and Motorbike MOT’s.
We have built an impeccable reputation amongst all of our customers new and old. We would expect that the successful candidate would take on board our company values and carry out all work to the highest of standards, maintain positive customer relationships and build trust with all customers new and old.

Skills/Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a similar role (College graduate applications are also considered).
- Diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults.
- Carry out vehicle inspections and general servicing.
- Welding experience preferred but not essential.
- Competent in using the latest diagnostics equipment.
- A full clean driving licence.
- Have all their own basic tools (any specialist tools are provided).
- Must be comfortable working within a team but also capable of carrying out general repairs and maintenance independently and efficiently.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.


This position is Full Time Monday-Friday with alternate Saturday mornings.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Afternoon,

Due to the governments latest statement on social distancing and them advising people to stay indoors, with the exception of key workers.

We have now made the hardest decision we have every had to make in 12 years of providing our services to the public. As the health and safety of our staff are our main priority, all staff will now be on furlough as of yesterday and will return when the government advise that it is safe to return.

The garage will still have Tony/Dave present for any MOT’s and repairs.

For a limited time only we would like to offer all MOT’s for £25.00 to help support our community in hope that we can all support local family run business at this difficult and testing time.

Good Morning, a short message from us here at Marus Bridge MOT Centre, we wanted to let you know that we are open and are preparing for business as usual.

We want to assure you that government advice is being strictly adhered to, and the wellbeing of our customers and staff is our absolute priority and matters of health and safety have our complete attention.

We understand that some of our customers are being righty cautious about their movements during this time. As a good will gesture to our customers we will be offering a pick up/drop off service from your home for anyone that is unable to bring your car into us or for those that are self isolating but require repairs / MOT’s.
