Police are currently underway with Operation Colossus in Whitehaven town centre.

Part of the operation includes checking for dangerous driving. Included in dangerous driving is illegal tyres.

Feel free to pop in and we will check your tyres before they do!

You can be fined up to £2500 and 3 penalty points PER TYRE.

Big thank you to all the staff and students at Lakes college.

🌟 INDUSTRY INSIGHTS WEEK 2025! 🌟

Yesterday our motor vehicle learners welcomed staff from Smart Tyre Whitehaven who delivered an informative presentation about their industry.

They talked about how to check tyre tread depth, how to extend tyre life and how to safely change one.

Students then had the opportunity to go around the college car park and check the safety of staff members' tyres by looking at tread depth.
