Today we had the team from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service on site carrying out some practical training exercises at our yard.
They demonstrated a dashboard roll on one vehicle, carefully creating space to access and assist a casualty. On a second vehicle, they carried out a full roof removal to safely extract the casualty — a great insight into the level of skill and precision involved in these situations.
It was impressive to see their professionalism and teamwork up close, and we’re grateful they chose our yard for their training, and we are more than happy we were able to supply them with some scrap vehicles to carry out their training
