A little behind‑the‑scenes look at how ‘Jodie’ keeps this place running…

When someone calls — whether you speak, breathe, sneeze or just accidentally butt‑dial — I get an email. Every. Single. Time.

A short summary, a full transcript, and even the recording. Jodie doesn’t miss a thing.

Which brings me to a few highlights from recent calls:

• The classics: no name, no number, just vibes.
• The sequel: name but still no number… looking directly at you, P**s Flaps.
• A supplier ringing about an invoice, happily chatting away to a robot… then announcing they “don’t have time for AI.”
(Mate… you literally just spent time talking to it.)

And then… a hero emerges.

Someone who used it properly: left their name, number, what they needed — and guess what happened?

I called them back.

Because that’s how this works when you actually give me the information.

So, Mr (insert name here)… thank you for being the chosen one.

Everyone else — help me help you. Use Jodie properly and you’ll get a call back faster than you can say “P**s Flaps.”

Another tidy repair completed.

This 2025 VW Polo came in with a bump to the N/S/F wing and bumper.

Once we stripped the wing back, we found it had stretched too far to pull and fill, so we replaced it along with the bent brace behind it. With the wing off, we gave the inner area a proper clean to clear out any debris.

Even though the new wing was a genuine VW part, we still test‑fitted it before paint to make sure everything lined up perfectly.

The bumper had a deep gouge, so we gently heated and levelled the plastic, applied filler, and prepped it for paint in Deep Pearl Black LC9X (thank you Refinish Systems Ltd)

After 3–4 coats of colour and 3 coats of clear, we finished with a light nib and polish to bring back the gloss.

One very happy customer driving away.

2016 Mini Clubman – Midnight Black Revival

We had this 2016 Mini Clubman in with a pretty nasty gouge across the front bumper. Awkward spot, thin plastic, tight curves — one of those repairs where you’re not entirely sure how it’s going to behave.

But we got stuck in.

Plastic welded to rebuild strength, reshaped, filled, and brought the original contour back to life.

Finished in A94 Midnight Black — a solid black with a subtle Pearl White flake that really pops once the light hits it.

Two coats of clear, then cut back and polished using Farecla to get that deep, glossy finish.

All completed while the customer was away on holiday, so they returned to a Clubman looking far better than when it left.

Another one saved. Another bumper that doesn’t need replacing.
