A ONE HOUR TRIP

Around Portland Harbour this afternoon

Check out the smiles 😊

Every single person left the boat a little lighter and happier than when they arrived.

The business of the day seemed less important out on the water.

The air seems fresher, the colours brighter.

The skipper’s really know how to provide a truly unique little adventure , packed with just enough history and knowledge to be fun but with enough space to let guests relax .

One woman said she had enjoyed the best hour of her life!.

I’d say that was money well spent!

A PROPER NICE BLAST FROM THE PAST

Here’s Terry ( he’s a bit camera shy!)

Terry makes the claim of being the youngest skipper to run our pitch!

His first trip out was aged 5 with his father , Alf, and that was some 65 years ago.

We reckon Terry has operated 16740 boat trips out of Weymouth Harbour over 31 years .

There’s not much Terry doesn’t know or hasn’t seen down the ‘arbour.

Terry retired 8 years ago but it’s been a blooming honour to welcome him aboard Arla Tide today.

Hurrah for Terry, hurrah for tradition and hurrah for our boat trips !!

These are the sort of sights we like to see.

Traditional boats, under sail . We can get some super photos and wave to the Captain as we pass by on our one hour sight seeing hour cruises !

Such a beautiful day out on the water .

Thank you to everyone that has jumped aboard and shared their time with us :

We’ve seen all manner of wildlife including the sunbathing seals on the Breakwater and we’ve marvelled at the Olympic sailors buzzing around us .

We’ve heard about the history of the castles around Weymouth and Portland and we’ve heard tales of treachery and treason by the pirates of old.

We’ve watched sea birds duck and dive around us and the kids have fallen asleep as we chug gently back to Weymouth Harbour.

It’s an all round good’un, our one hour trip .
Simple, no fancy stuff, just fun , families and fresh sea air.

We’re around all week - see you from 1000.

OUR BOAT TRIPS

Our boat trips have been heading out from Weymouth Harbour for many , many years.

We really are a part of the towns maritime history.

And incredibly proud to do so.

Over the years , Stewart and the crew have taken folk to see the Royal Navy fleet of visiting and resident ships.

He’s taken folks to see the wildlife of Portland Breakwater.

He’s taken folk to witness the colourful Tall Ships Race.

He’s taken folk to see our Great British Olympic Sailors practising .

He’s taken folks out to celebrate weddings, funerals and birthdays together.

But most of all, he’s taken regular folk out to enjoy the fresh clean views and beautiful sea air.

Our trips are still the cheapest in town.

We’re here for you every day the weather allows .
