A very nice 2021 Hybrid Range Rover Sport in with us for a breaking issue, or should we say next to no brakes at all 🥴
A pretty scary situation for the customer indeed.

The Hybrid L494 doesn’t have a conventional breaking system, It’s Infact a fly by wire system with a brake booster module. The brake booster module has its own 12v battery which also has a split charging system in the way of a power supply distribution box. It’s pretty common for the PSDB to fail causing the 12v auxiliary battery to go flat and then you have no brake assistance.

Diagnosed, repaired and back to the customer in no time 🤌🏼

The dreaded P049B-00 EGR “B” flow insufficient.

A lot of garages won’t understand this fault code, some may even over look it as the cause of an EML. Understanding why this fault code occurs is crucial, as this is just the knock on affect to an emissions system failure.

Now I’ve seen a few cracked DPF’s before but this one was another level 🤯

Very clean Jaguar XJL in with us last week for an electrical issue with the driver door switch pack.
You couldn’t operate any of the windows or adjust the mirrors.
A few wiring checks soon showed there was a voltage drop, only 6v going to the switch pack when we would expect to see battery voltage.
We located the issue and carried out a repair using genuine JLR pre terminated leads.

Very clean Jaguar F-Type in for a few little bits this week. This F-Type come into us with poor running and an EML.
Further testing found an air leak from the Symposer unit.
Symposer unit replaced and back running as it should.

A personal favorite of mine. The Jaguar XE with the 3.0 litre supercharged V6 engine. Certainly a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

This particular example was in for a major service and a bit of preventative maintenance, by replacing the coolant outlet pipe and cross over pipe, aka (Y pipe). This is the second super session by JLR. These pipes are now made from metal and not plastic.

We personally advise this repair on all 3.0 litre and 5.0 litre supercharged engines before it’s too late.
