Thanks to PKC media for coming in a doing some great shot of the team building some new sail.
A really exciting project building the first suit of Zero waste sails in the marine industry. The goal is to collect up all manufacturing waste and recycle it through our various partners. Hopefully showing how sail making can have less of an impact on the environment that we all enjoy and sailors

Down at the local sail loft today with Precision Yachting — capturing some of their latest sails coming to life.

Always good to be working with local businesses doing great work in the marine space.

Thanks to Sustainable Sailing for collaborating on this great project to create the first fully recyclable sail cloth bag. These bags have been upcycled from old racing sails

From the international circuit of the to a coaster in the office.

These are built using fibres recovered from a 3Di cloth processed layed into a chop strand matting and finally put into products.
With the fibres coming out with equivalent tensile strength as virgin fibre this matt can be used in a huge number of application. From fairings and cover plates, backing panels and brackets. There are numerous possibilities within the sailing world, not to mention the automotive industry where they use similar material for van floor and car body panels

great to be collaborating on such a fantastic project

great to be collaborating on such a fantastic project

Over the past 2 years we have been working on developing methods of breaking down old racing sails so that they don't end up in landfill.

We have now succeeded.

So if you have old sails in your garage, container or loft get in touch at:

Did you want to own one of the fastest ocean racing coffee tables in the world?

Or a table that is a piece of yachting history?

Prodigy was the winner of the Cape Town to Rio race in 2011, breaking the course record. This Simonis-Voogd designed yacht was Durban based and was built to compete in the world’s premier sailing events. Having broken the course record for the Cape Town to Rio race in 2011, the team went on to compete in a range of other offshore and ocean races such as the Fastnet. The boat sadly ended its life in the Medina Yard in Cowes, before being cut up and placed into landfill.

This is a chance to own the very first table built, complete with certificate of authenticity
