Driving Theory test help 🚗🛣️🛑

Join a free, three-week driving theory course in Livingston Station Community Centre from Monday 13 July.
Learners can improve their theory and hazard perception through a variety of activities on our online platform and practise sessions. This course is appropriate for adults who are looking for support to pass the driving theory element of a driving test. Learn in a welcoming, small group setting, and improve your skills.
The course is made up of eleven 2-hour sessions on 13 -16, 20 - 23, and 28 - 30 July from 10am-12pm each day.

Absolutely chuffed for Sophie, who smashed her driving test first time with only 3 driver faults! 🚗👏

When Sophie first started, she wasn’t exactly a fan of driving. In fact, I think it’s fair to say she had a slight dislike for the roads, the traffic, and just about everyone else using them! 😂

But what a turnaround. Every lesson she pushed herself, grew in confidence, and got better and better. Seeing someone go from dreading getting behind the wheel to passing first time is what it’s all about.

Couldn’t be prouder of you, Sophie. Absolutely deserved! And Jack… I’ve got a feeling you’ve just lost your job as the designated driver! 🤣

Massive congratulations to Jack on passing his driving test! 🚗💨

This one’s a special one for me — Jack’s been with me pretty much since day one of my driving instructor journey, so we’ve both survived a learning curve together… although only one of us stalled at roundabouts 👀😂

Honestly couldn’t be prouder of the effort and hard work you’ve put in to get that licence. From first lessons to finally hearing those magic words: “I’m pleased to tell you…” — you smashed it.

Now the real challenge begins: pretending your mates aren’t distracting you while choosing the music in the car 😅

🚨 LEARNER DRIVERS — NEW DVSA RULES ARE COMING 🚨

So… the DVSA has entered its “strict parent” era for 2026 😅

Here’s what you need to know before booking your driving test 👇

📝 You can only make 2 changes to your driving test booking.
🔄 Swapping your test with another learner counts as 1 change.
📅 From 12 May 2026, ONLY the learner driver can:

✔️ book a test
✔️ change a test
✔️ swap a test

Which basically means

❌ instructors can’t do it
❌ parents can’t do it
❌ friends can’t do it
❌ dodgy “we’ll find you a faster test” websites can’t do it either 👀

So PLEASE make sure you book your test using:

📱 your own phone number
📧 your own email address
🙋 your own details!

Otherwise, when it comes time to swap or change your test, you could end up stuck in a customer-service nightmare with 47 tabs open and a stress headache 😂

It only takes a minute to log in and check your details are correct — definitely worth doing now before panic mode kicks in later 🚗💨

Huge congratulations to Katie on smashing her driving test first time! 🚗🎉

I honestly couldn’t be prouder. This journey has been about so much more than just driving — it’s been about facing the anxiety, pushing through the nerves, and turning “I don’t think I can do this” into “watch me smash it.” And that’s exactly what you did today.

We’ve had the full experience along the way — plenty of laughs, a few questionable moments 😅, and of course our shared hobby of silently (and not so silently) judging everyone else on the road 😂. But through it all, you kept going, kept improving, and built the confidence that got you over the line today.

It’s been an absolute privilege to be part of your journey and see how far you’ve come. Moments like this make it all worth it… even if it does mean releasing you onto the roads on your own now — good luck everyone else! 😜

Enjoy your freedom, Katie — you’ve truly earned it. And don’t worry, I’ll still expect those coffee catch-ups ☕
