Carrying on with the Riley and starting the roof and the rear panel work. Doing the three pieces of the side together to make sure the flows and light lines re all good. A few changes to the wood are needed to get the run throughs, but when everything looks right the two rear panels are gas welded together. Then with the tool made run through the Pullmax to put in the bead feature.

As the work continues on the Range Rover. With the rear floors replaced and gripped in ready for spot welding we dropped it back onto its chassis for a sanity check that everything lined up. Removing sill ends have found that the bottom of the sills have not been welded together, this will be rectified. Working round the rest of the corrosion and poor repairs hopefully will@be done this week.

Another one to get on with. This classic Range Rover is in quite good condition. A few areas of corrosion let it down. We’ve started on the boot area. With sections made and welded in with concealed sections coated before welding will see this fair a lot better than from original.

So the roof has been removed, the needed work done and refilled. Access made on the inner D pillars to allow for clean up of the outer skin. New sections made for the poor work done on the A pillars. Now all fitted up with good flush and gaps on the glass and tail gate. Ready for the next step.

The Nissan GTR is done and back to for the colour. Here is a look at the work that went in to the custom vents in the front wings. It will look stunning when it’s all back in one colour and wouldn’t look out if place at ultrace. For custom modifications or classic restorations get in touch to discuss how we can help.

It’s off with the roof. Time to cut through where the previous roof replacement had been done. As soon as it was cut the tension it was under could be seen with gaps opening up where the slotter had gone through. Re angling the A pillars allowed the screen template to fit as well as the front side screens. With these and the tail gate fitting flush and gapped a 1” box section frame was made to locate the roof when it’s put back on. Now to take the roof panel off, repair the sections where it has had the previous work to give good metal to join back together.

Getting through the ash frame at the rear of the Riley Kestrel. With the right hand side nearly done making the left will be easier taking templates off what we’ve already done, this should be finished in the next few days. But with the woodwork all tied up in front of the B post it’s time to start on the metal work.
