6 MONTH MOT EXTENSION
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government recently announced a 6-month MOT extension with effect from 30 March 2020. The Government, however, clearly stated that vehicles must be kept in a roadworthy condition and drivers can in fact be prosecuted if driving unsafe vehicles. We believe that some insurers have already been in contact with their customers to advise them should a claim be made and the car is found to be non-roadworthy, it will deem the insurance policy null and void.
Although the Government have extended MOTs for 6 months, garages are still allowed to carry out MOT testing. Should you not wish to defer, we are open and able to MOT your vehicle. This shall ensure that your vehicle is safe and road worthy. Let us keep your MOT up to date and take that worry off your mind.
We remain open for all our customers for all repair works to ensure that their vehicles are safe to drive and can be kept roadworthy. We understand that at this very difficult time, everyone, especially key workers must be able to rely on their vehicles and feel certain that they are safe for travel. We are here to carry out repair work to keep people who need to move, moving safely.
We are adhering to all Government guidelines in respect of social distancing. We are able to work maintaining the required 2 metre distancing rules and we are taking every possible precaution to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, customers and suppliers.
We continue to offer the collection and delivery of vehicles and a non-contact service.
We shall be here for you as long as we are able to. Your safety is always of paramount importance to us. We want to be able to keep you safe and on the road for those essential journeys.
Please stay safe and well and if we can help in anyway, please get in touch.
