Palaform Ltd Palaform started designing and manufacturing Radio Controlled Model
Hovercrafts in Oct 2003. At that time we had just the one model called the
I.C.

Gemini powered by a Model Aircraft engine. We attended our first ever trade show at the International Model Boat Show in Warwick in November 2003. It was during this show that we met up with some of the original Model Hovercraft Association members who encouraged us to continue with the design and development of new electric models. Since then we have continued to design, develop and release new m

odels almost every two years, We now have 7 R/c model hovercrafts available in our range, 6 of which are electrically powered. The main attraction for our products is that they are fully amphibious and are suitable for Water, hard surfaces and in some cases grass.

Jag is hoping to be at this show with a range of kits for sale. Unfortunately the BBV-6 craft will not be ready in time for the show but I will have a prototype model for demonstration. Hope to see you there. I will be tacking pre-orders for the new BBV-6 craft at the Hovercraft Museum show. Jag

Hi all,

Unfortunately, the Palaform website has been down since January 2024. This was due to an unpleasant divorce where I lost access to the house and workshop. I had a number of health issues to deal with in 2025/2026. Anyway, moving forward I have now re-located in Leicester.

I've had to set up a new workshop to allow me to operate again. The plan is to complete the BBV-6 tooling first as this project was started before COVID. A great deal of work was done by Rupert Baker (BBV Vehicles Ltd) on the initial prototype tools.

I have decided to complete the BBV-6 tools ready for manufacturing of parts which does mean delaying the website from going Live. Apologies for this, the BBV-6 craft along with updating the website will take a few months to complete.

As you can appreciate, there is an awful lot of work involved in producing a new model and this takes time. Your patience is very much appreciated.

I will advise when we are about to go live with the website and the release of the new BBV-6 model hovercraft on the various forums.

X36T undergoing indoor test runs. Steering the craft is a bit sensitive without a gyro. I’ve had to reduce the rudder lengths and add some fins at the rear of the craft to help straight line control.
