AC Schnitzer UK is the official distributor of AC Schnitzer BMW and MINI tuning parts for the UK and Ireland. We have over 30 years experience with AC Schnitzer having been the original importer in 1989. Our knowledge therefore spans from the E30/E36 days up to today’s state of the art models. We are also able to deliver AC Schnitzer parts for BMW motorcycles.

For the 99d, unveiled in 2011, we boosted the engine – originally from the 320d Efficient Dynamics, then the most efficient BMW model – to 140 kW/190 hp and 420 Nm, whilst simultaneously reducing CO₂ emissions from 109 to 99 grams and fitting the engine into the Z4 Coupé. The Coupé was weight-optimised and its dynamic handling improved: thanks to an AC Schnitzer racing suspension, lightweight forged alloy wheels weighing just 7.9 kg, lightweight brake discs and other measures, we reduced the unsprung mass directly at the wheels by 35 kg. The first concept car based on a MINI was the AC Schnitzer EAGLE in 2011. After optimising all aspects of the JCW in terms of ‘Efficient Performance’: power had been increased to 191 kW/260 HP, the weight reduced by 80 kg, the exhaust system upgraded, our coilover suspension fitted and the EAGLE fitted with 18-inch Mi2 wheels, it catapulted itself straight into the sports car class with a lap time of 1:12.3 minutes at Hockenheim. Driving pleasure? Always! And alternative drive systems are welcome too: the AC Schnitzer GP3.10 GAS POWERED was our high-performance LPG-powered Coupé back in 2007. Performance and efficiency, economy and environmental friendliness came together here in an exciting concept car. The extravagant wide-body kit for the 3 series Coupé would have been a real showstopper on its own – but we also tuned the V10 engine from the current M5/M6 and fitted it to the GP3.10. As a result, the GP3.10 delivered 406 kW/552 HP on either LPG or petrol. Switchable. It was fast too: 318.1 km/h – a world record! The fastest LPG-powered vehicle. Of course, the AC Schnitzer racing suspension, 20-inch wheels and a visually stunning interior in beige, brown and light green were essential features. Take a Z4 M Coupé, boost its power with a new control unit and a highly breathable airbox, alter the rear-axle final drive ratio, shorten the gearshift travel, replace the exhaust system, swap the braking system for a significantly more powerful one, replace the suspension, fit the car with 20-inch lightweight forged alloy wheels, add a body kit in white and orange designed for maximum downforce, and match the interior to the sporty exterior with racing bucket seats and orange carbon fibre trim: and there you have the AC Schnitzer PROFILE. The first concept car based on the BMW M6 was the AC Schnitzer TENSION in 2005. Not only was it a real head-turner, but it also set the world record with an officially measured speed of 331.78 km/h as the ‘fastest road-legal BMW’. Power was increased to 406 kW/552 hp, and an exhaust system with a fan-shaped manifold, a special catalytic converter and sports rear silencers was fitted. A high-performance braking system, lightweight 20-inch forged alloy wheels, a height-adjustable racing suspension, anti-roll bars and a breathtaking bodywork conversion – designed to meet the revised cooling and aerodynamic requirements – along with a carbon fibre interior and Alcantara and aluminium details rounded off the overall concept. In 2003, we widened the body of the Z4 Roadster by 13 cm and converted it into a closed-top model, creating a Coupé into which we installed a performance-enhanced engine from the M5, delivering 331 kW/450 hp and 520 Nm. The modified rear axle, a new braking system, an exhaust system, a racing suspension, and 20-inch Type IV racing wheels, along with completely redesigned aerodynamics, combined with the carbon interior and racing bucket seats: the V8 TOPSTER was born. Technical specifications: 0 - 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h. Incidentally, the first BMW Z4 Coupé didn’t hit the market until three years later. Want to know more?
