Rigids in Focus: DAF XDC & XFC Electric

The DAF XDC and XFC Electric bring zero-emission performance to demanding construction work, combining the rugged durability of DAF’s construction range with advanced electric technology.

Built for tough environments, both models feature high ground clearance, a robust steel bumper and radiator protection, making them ideal for challenging on- and off-road applications. The XDC Electric is designed for harsher terrain, while the XFC Electric is ideal for construction operations such as tippers, hook loaders and mixers.

Powered by the PACCAR EX electric motor, the trucks deliver 170 kW to 350 kW (up to 480 hp) with up to 2400 Nm of torque. Battery options from 315 kWh to 525 kWh and DC fast charging up to 325 kW help keep operations running efficiently.

Features such as DAF One Pedal Drive improve efficiency through regenerative braking, while electric PTO options (25, 60 or 100 kW) allow the trucks to power specialist body equipment.

Salesman Stuart Gaunt recently handed over this impressive DAF FA XB 190 7.5t, built and equipped to deliver reliability, safety and versatility for its new operation.

The truck has been fitted with a Fred Smith and Sons (Motor Bodies) Limited 25’4” platform body, complete with a rear detachable gantry and step, making it ideal for practical loading and everyday operational use.

For enhanced road safety and driver awareness, it also features a Spillard Safety Systems Ltd 4-way live camera system along with a turn-left alarm, helping to improve visibility and protect vulnerable road users.

The vehicle has been placed on a 7-year Repair & Maintenance (R&M) contract, ensuring it stays in top working condition, and will be fully supported and maintained by our Greenhous DAF Tamworth Depot.
