A reminder for all attending tonight. The meeting is currently full and we have a handful of reserves patiently waiting too, so if you are not coming, please make sure to let us know by 4pm if possible to give enough chance for the next reserve to be contacted...

It will be a busy night with 4 full heats and will require everyone being ready to both race AND marshal promptly on time.

Both practice and Qualy the computer will be set to run on auto, there will not be any time or allowance for delays, so please ensure you are all ready on time

If anyone is not booked in already for tomorrow nights racing (October 23rd) but intend coming, then please get booked in ASAP since there is only a very small number of spaces left and we are close to being full to capacity (Nice problem to have)

We will be finalising the provisional heat list and making it live tomorrow afternoon so everyone can check their heat and number in advance, we dont expect to be able to take any "on the night" entries without pre-booking (which should be the normal now anyhow)

Normal track build from 7:30pm sharp, 8pm two rounds of timed practice, heats re-sorted and Heat 1/Round 1 on the line at 8:30pm sharp. From there on, the computer will be on automatic, we wont be able to stop for anyone if you are not ready sadly we will have to start each race.

3 Qualifiers and Final for all, followed by a mass track pack down by all racers (no exceptions please) and sweepstake and done/out by 10:30pm

Also as a note, there has been reports at both our club and some others in the area of banned substances being smoked on site, whether that be in or near the hall, or the car parks, this is STRICTLY forbidden anywhere within the school grounds, anyone caught abusing this will be asked to leave immediately with a zero tolerance approach to this.

Many of the local clubs in the area run within school grounds and all run the same risk that if anything like this was caught we would be kicked out of our respective venues without warning and the racing community cannot afford to lose venues in that manner.

If anybody is at a loose end this weekend, several of the club members are headed over to the LC racing Xtravaganza '25 event at Mill End Raceway near Rushden

Anyone who doesnt want to miss out on this awesome one-off event, with a huge raffle, BBQ, 2 Practices, 4 rounds of racing and Finals for all. Trophy Board Presentation. All at their permanent venue at Mill End Garden and Plants Garden Centre and Cafe

Hi All. Results for the last night of the summer series are up as are the final standings. Congrats to James White for the series win and Rich Miller as your runner up. Thanks to all for coming along and supporting the club throughout the summer. The club survives through its members and summer is always low on numbers due to outdoor racing and holidays etc. We have seen a nice increase in numbers the last two meetings so it is a shame we have to wait until September 18th for the next meeting but the school has booked it and it is their hall I guess.

Look forward to seeing you all on the 18th and lets have a great season of winter racing.

We are very excited to announce the confirmed details for the second annual "RACING XTRAVAGANZA '25 - THE RETURN" presented by LC Racing

The date for your diaries is - Sunday September 28th 2025

Last years inaugural event took place indoors in Watford last January, for this years edition we are taking the event outdoors to the fantastic family run venue at -

Mill End RC Car Club, Mill End, Rushden, Nr Buntingford, Herts, SG9 0TA

Online registration will open up in the coming days and will be on a strictly first come first served basis...

Race Classes for the following;
1/10th Off Road Buggies - 2wd and 4wd
1/10th Rally Cars
1/10th Vintage Buggies - 2wd and 4wd
1/10th Trucks - Stadium, Short Course and Big Wheel (if enough numbers)
Mini Buggies and Trucks (12th, 14th and 16th scale etc)

The emphasis on the meeting is the same as always before; plenty of fun, relaxed but fair racing, entertaining and suitable for all ages and abilities, from newcomer to expert. All makes and brands of (electric) car are all welcome....

Hosted by the Mill End Car Club, based at the superb Mill End Plants and Cafe Garden Centre, the track is served by the awesome cafe and the club also will provide a BBQ on the day too...

The track is 100% short pile astroturf (no dirt or sand in sight). It features a covered rostrum, race control with live timing and covered pit area both trackside and also a large covered area adjacent to the track too.

Overnight camping is available for those who wish to make the most of the stay (small fee applies - ask for more details)

There will be a HUGE prize draw raffle at the end of the event, with tickets on sale by the club during the course of the day from the club gazebo.

There will be trophy boards for the outright winners of all finals and classes.

Full trackside spares support provided by DMS Racing, all media coverage of the event being provided by Mark and Carl of Popalong RC fame.

Entry fee will be £15 (£10 for Mill End R/C Car Club valid members), then anybody wishing to race more than one class can do so at the additional cost of £5 per class.

Every entrant will receive a novelty gift bag at booking in, which will include one free ticket to the prize draw, along with their race numbers and heat details and several r/c related goodies and little surprises inside all courtesy of our event sponsors, making the entry fee even greater value...
