Why so expensive? Well... This is a classic example of why... Lots of VW/Audi group cars suffer with ABS/wheel speed issues, replacements can be as little as £7 from Internet sellers, BUT, there are differences! If the vehicle has park pilot, cornering lights, auto hold brakes, the sensor can be very specific, and not every aftermarket company gets it right, regardless of the body colour!
Bitter experience says to do it right, do it once. Genuine part fitted to eliminate any issue later on.
But I would love to know how VW can justify the price for this!

Sunday morning, on the way in to work to finish detailing a car, sun shining, lovely bright morning... ...then you realise you're flowing a customer whose campervan has a rear light filled with water...
So, even though it's a Sunday, quick phone call, one campervan outside work, rear light removed, dried, cleaned and some new bulbs fitted.
Ideally I would replace the lamps, but initially digging suggests Autosleeper no longer support pre 2010 conversions with parts, yay...
This may require some Imagineering to find and fit replacement lamps to the recesses in the body.

A good scrape and a lot of wire brush use, some corrosion stabiliser, paint and some surface treatment to follow... Keep it from needing a complete rebuild/replacement of all the suspension components for a few years yet.

As some of you know, I'm asked to cover MOT testing at another garage, usually it's a mix of vans and 4x4's, but this Porsche made a nice change. Even though it's a hybrid, on its 'real' engine, sounded lovely 🤩
