💥 Drive It Like Orishea! 💥

Well… Drive It Sue certainly didn’t take long to get her first one on the board!

A massive congratulations to Orishea, who has smashed his driving test FIRST TIME following all his hard work and coaching with Drive It Sue!

And this one is just a little bit special…

It’s Sue’s very first driving test since joining the Drive It team - and in true Drive It style, she’s kicked things off with a FIRST TIME PASS!

Even better, Orishea finished his test with excellent feedback from the examiner about the quality of his drive.

🏆 FIRST TIME PASS
👏 Excellent examiner feedback
🚗 Sue’s first Drive It test
💥 Sue’s first Drive It PASS!

We’d say that’s a pretty good way to introduce yourself to Team Drive It, Sue!

For Orishea, it’s the result of all the learning, practice and preparation coming together when it mattered - showing the examiner he had the skills to drive safely and independently.

Because that’s always the goal.

Skills for life - not just a test.

A huge WELL DONE to Orishea and Drive It Sue from everyone at Drive It School of Motoring.

🚗⚠️ WOULD YOU KNOW? – What to do if your car breaks down?

Hopefully it won’t happen very often, but sooner or later most drivers will experience that sinking feeling…

The car’s stopped. Something’s wrong. Now what?

Would you actually know what to do – especially if it happened on a fast road or motorway?

This week’s Would You Know? is all about breaking down safely.

🚨 GET SOMEWHERE SAFE
If you can, move your vehicle away from moving traffic and switch on your hazard warning lights.

🛣️ ON A MOTORWAY?
If possible, leave at the next junction or service area. If you can’t, try to reach an emergency area or other place of relative safety. Don’t automatically assume the hard shoulder is a completely safe place.

👨‍👩‍👧 GET YOURSELF TO SAFETY
If you’ve stopped somewhere safe to exit, get out through the side furthest from traffic and move well away from the carriageway – ideally behind a safety barrier where there is one.

🔺 WARNING TRIANGLE?
On ordinary roads, you can place one at least 45 metres behind your vehicle if it’s safe to do so.

NEVER use a warning triangle on a motorway.

📞 CALL FOR HELP
Contact your breakdown provider. If you’re in a dangerous position or cannot get yourself somewhere safe, call 999.

🦺 BE SEEN
A hi-vis jacket is a simple bit of kit worth keeping in the car – particularly now the darker evenings are here.

⚠️ MOST IMPORTANTLY – DON’T PUT YOURSELF AT RISK.
A car can be repaired or replaced. You can’t. Don’t attempt a roadside repair if doing so puts you in danger, and never walk into a live carriageway.

Passing your driving test teaches you how to drive independently – but knowing what to do when things don’t go to plan is just as important.

That’s why at Drive It we’re about more than simply getting someone through a test.

💙💛 That’s the Drive It Difference.

DRIVE IT LIKE DYLAN! 💥

Now THIS is how you do it!

A massive congratulations to Dylan, who has absolutely smashed his driving test today with Drive It Nick – and not just scraped over the line…

ZERO DRIVER FAULTS. A PERFECT CLEAN SHEET.

Dylan was asked to follow a sign-posted route during his test and absolutely nailed it, finishing with some fantastic feedback from his examiner after a superb drive.

And this result highlights something we feel really strongly about at Drive It.

Learning to drive shouldn’t be a race to get to a driving test.

It’s easy to focus on getting a test booked as quickly as possible and doing just enough lessons to hopefully get through it.

But that’s not what learning to drive should be about.

Take the time. Plan your lessons properly. Build experience. Work on the areas that need improving. Develop your awareness, planning and decision-making. Learn how to deal with situations independently rather than simply learning how to negotiate a few test routes.

Because the goal isn’t just to pass a 40-minute driving test.

The goal is to become a safe, confident and capable driver for life.

And today Dylan demonstrated exactly that.

💯 ZERO faults
🧼 Perfect CLEAN SHEET
🪧 Perfect sign-post route
👏 Fantastic examiner feedback
🚗 A properly well-earned full driving licence

That’s not rushing towards a test and hoping for the best and just being lucky on the day.

That’s being properly prepared – and then showing exactly what you can do.

A huge WELL DONE to Dylan and Drive It Nick from everyone at Drive It.

What a result. What a drive.

And what a way to make it a SUPER SATURDAY!

Skills for life – not just a test. That’s the Drive It Difference.

Drive It Like Bella! 💥

WOW. Now THIS is the sort of examiner feedback you want to hear!

A massive congratulations to Bella from Taunton, who has smashed her driving test FIRST TIME following all her hard work and coaching with Drive It Sharon!

But the pass itself was only part of the story, because Bella’s examiner had some absolutely incredible praise for her driving:

“Your forward planning and awareness is better than anyone I have seen. I would sit next to you and not worry about your driving any day of the week.”

What. A. Compliment!

That sums up exactly what we want our learners to achieve at Drive It. Passing the test is fantastic, but developing the awareness, anticipation and forward planning to become a genuinely safe and confident independent driver is what really matters.

🏆 FIRST TIME PASS
👀 Exceptional awareness
🧠 Outstanding forward planning
👏 Incredible examiner feedback
🚗 One very well-earned full driving licence!

A huge WELL DONE to Bella and Drive It Sharon from everyone at Drive It.

When an examiner says they’d happily sit beside you “any day of the week” without worrying about your driving, we reckon you can safely call that a job VERY well done!

Skills for life - not just a test. That’s the Drive It Difference.

Drive It Like Leah! 💥

FIRST TIME. ZERO FAULTS. CLEAN SHEET.

What an absolutely superb result for Leah from Bridgwater, who has smashed her driving test FIRST TIME with ZERO driver faults following her lessons with Drive It Andy!

And this one is a brilliant example of how learning to drive is about so much more than simply controlling the car.

One of the things Andy and Leah had been working on was managing those test-day nerves - making sure Leah had the confidence to trust herself, trust her decisions and show the examiner exactly what she was capable of.

Well… she certainly did that!

☀️ Somerset sunshine
🚗 A superb drive
💯 ZERO driver faults
🧼 A perfect CLEAN SHEET
👏 Fantastic feedback from an examiner who got to sit back and enjoy the drive!

Not a single thing for the examiner to mark down across the whole test. That takes some doing!

All the skills were already there - Leah just needed to believe in herself enough to show them off when it mattered.

And she absolutely nailed it.

A massive WELL DONE to Leah and Drive It Andy from everyone at Drive It School of Motoring.

First time. Faultless. Fantastic examiner feedback.

We’d say those nerves were very firmly shown who was boss!

Enjoy that full driving licence, Leah - thoroughly deserved!
