🏆 Back-to-back titles!

Last night the Volvo FH Aero 460 was named Fleet Transport Irish Truck of the Year 2027, winning the Fleet-Spec Tractor Unit category.

This follows hot on the heels of last year's success, when the FH16 Aero won the same award in the Flagship Tractor Unit category, making it two Irish Truck of the Year titles in two years for Volvo!

Ferguson Transport has strengthened its long-standing relationship with us after taking delivery of six new Volvo FH Aero 6x2 tractor units, with a further three vehicles due to join the fleet in the coming weeks. 🤩

Speaking about the latest order, Jack Ferguson, Operations Director, says: “Volvo is our number one manufacturer because their vehicles are safe, reliable and well suited to our operations.

"We also value the strong dealer back-up available when required. These latest units are our first FH Aeros, and we’re very interested to see what the new cab design will provide in terms of improved fuel economy."

Depending on their role, the new trucks will operate between five and seven days per week, with some vehicles double-shifted and running 24 hours a day. Each is expected to cover around 150,000 km annually and remain in service for five to six years.
