Take a look at the new Bristol Fighter!

We’re pleased to have played a part in the engine management side, with the car running a DTAFast T12 ECU.

One of the less straightforward aspects of the installation was the Dodge Viper V10’s unusual firing arrangement, with unequal firing angles between the coil packs. We wrote specific code within the ECU to correctly support the firing strategy and make it work as intended.

This Month’s DTAFast Hero: Lisa Cipolla of Zlock Racing

Congratulations to Lisa Cipolla of Zlock Racing on achieving FOUR new FIM World Records at the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials, held in August!

The bike is a heavily modified, nitrous-boosted Kawasaki ZX-6R, using a DTA T4 to control all normal engine functions, as well as the nitrous application.

The bike must run flawlessly for a mile and a half before activating the nitrous for the final 30 seconds of the run. The T4 arms the nitrous using the Map 2 switch, then applies it based on RPM and throttle position.

Fuel and ignition timing adjustments are automatically applied as part of the nitrous strategy.
