👷‍♀️Westy Community Centre refurbishment

We're excited to share that part of Latch Ford Big Local's lasting legacy will be a facelift for Westy Community Centre.

We've contributed funding towards this important community hub, along with Warrington Borough Council.

The refurbishment is being managed by the council and will include:
✨ A brand new kitchen
✨ Freshly painted walls
✨ New Polyflor flooring in the Main Hall
✨ Lowered ceiling with energy-efficient LED lighting

These improvements will create a more welcoming space for our community groups to enjoy for years to come.

⚠️ TEMPORARY RELOCATION NOTICE ⚠️

While the work takes place (approx March - June 2025), your favourite community groups will meet at these locations:

🧘 Mindfulness: Mondays at ReImagine Therapy Ltd, 10 Marsh St, WA1 3QA

☕ Cuppa Café:
Tuesdays at Life Church Community House, 2 Richmond Avenue, WA4 1XA
Thursdays at Sandy Lane Community Centre, WA4 2AY

🎨 Paint with Paul: Thursdays at Sandy Lane Community Centre, WA4 2AY

👩‍👧‍👦 Westy Crazy Ladies: Greenwood Community Centre, WA2 0DU

🎤 LA Voices: Pierpoints Club, 254 Thelwall Ln, WA4 1NG

Latch Ford Big Local is coming to an end after ten years, but we’re happy that part of our legacy will be an improved Westy Community Centre for everyone to enjoy.

📊 Over 3,000 residents involved in projects and activities
💰 £440,000+ additional funding brought into our community
🤝 200+ active volunteers making things happen⭐
🎓 40 young people supported with 'Give it a Go' bursaries
⚽️ 3 new sports pitches on Westy Park and a new outdoor gym
🚌 100+ families enjoying day trips together
🏠 2 community centres supported

And much, much more...

⭐Thanks to everyone who has been involved and all our volunteers, you made this all happen. ⭐
