🔧 Ford Transit Connect – Back Up & Running 🔧

This Ford Transit Connect was broken down at home, leaving the customer stuck and unable to get on with their day 🚐❌

The customer reported a grinding noise when turning the key, followed by just a clicking sound a strong sign the starter motor had failed.

After carrying out diagnostics, I confirmed the starter motor was indeed the issue. Luckily, I came prepared with a replacement part on hand, saving time and getting things sorted without delay ⏱️

The old unit was removed and a brand new starter motor supplied and fitted on-site.

✅ Van starting perfectly again

🔧 Vauxhall Astra – Warning Light & Exhaust Repair 🔧

This Vauxhall Astra came in with an engine warning light illuminated on the dash 🚨

On initial inspection, I could immediately hear the exhaust blowing. A closer look revealed a failed centre flexi pipe and with the rest of the system showing heavy corrosion and pitting, the customer opted for a full exhaust replacement from the catalytic converter backwards.

Due to the condition, the old exhaust had to be cut out in sections to remove it safely 🔩✂️

I then fitted a brand new exhaust system along with a bank 2 lambda sensor to ensure everything was running as it should.

✅ Warning light resolved
✅ Exhaust system restored
✅ Smooth, quiet drive — no more “boy racer” soundtrack 😅

🔧 Ford Transit LWB – Back on the Road 🔧

Attended clients home due to a heavy grinding noise from the passenger front wheel 😬

The client had already been advised it could be a wheel bearing, and after inspection, we confirmed the diagnosis.

Now, this one didn’t go quietly…
The original bearing was completely seized to the knuckle, and the bearing itself had fused to the hub. Definitely a stubborn job that needed some serious persuasion 💪

After some heavy graft, a few choice tools (and a trusty grinder), successfully removed the old components and pressed in a brand new bearing.

✅ Grinding noise gone
✅ Smooth and safe again

Following a road test, we also advised the customer on a few additional areas that will need attention.

This customer contacted us after his Ford Transit Connect had brokendown and being recovered by roadside assistance with a suspected alternator fault.

We attended the customer’s home and carried out a full on-site inspection, which revealed:
⚙️ Oil contamination on the alternator
⚙️ 12V battery failure
⚙️ Charging system irregularities

Time to get hands-on:
✔ Alternator replacement
✔ Full charging system test
✔ Electrical system health check

Following repairs, all voltages and charging parameters were verified, and the vehicle was restored to proper operating condition. ⚡🚙

This Ford Fiesta came in today with a stubborn tyre pressure warning light flashing away and no signal showing on the system.

After a full investigation, we found a communication fault. A hard reset, sensor reprogram, and a little technical magic later… 💻🔧

This stunning Mercedes SLK 200 broke down just around the corner from the owner's home and would not restart. After struggling to secure availability with other mobile mechanics, the customer arranged for me to attend the following morning to diagnose the issue.

Investigation quickly identified the fault as a failed 12V battery that was no longer holding charge.

A quick jump start got the customer mobile again, and after advising on replacement options, a new battery was supplied and fitted the following day.

The vehicle now starts effortlessly, and the customer is back on the road with complete peace of mind.
