🍷🐾 LYMM MOT CENTRE IS GOING OFF GRID! 🐾🔥

Even the hardest-working MOT testers need a little time out now and again… and we’ve decided ours involves absolutely NOTHING to do with cars! 😂

We’ve escaped for a couple of days of cabin life with Pinky and Perky, our two completely bonkers Cockapoos 🐶🐶

📵 Phones are about to be switched off.
🔥 Log burner fired up.
🍷 Corks are about to be popped.
🌄 Amazing views, fresh air and absolutely NO MOTs to think about!

Just a couple of days away from the workshop, the diary, the phones and the general chaos of running a busy independent garage in Lymm.

Don’t worry though, we’ll be back before the dogs start demanding overtime and the w**e runs out! 🤣

🚗💻 ANOTHER FLAT-OUT DAY AT LYMM MOT CENTRE! 🔧😂

We thought we’d hired an apprentice… turns out we might have accidentally employed a hacker! 🤦‍♂️🤣

Judging by the photo of him on his lunch break, he seems to have swapped the spanners for a keyboard and is hacking into something rather than tucking into his sandwiches. 💻🕵️‍♂️

Meanwhile, back in the real world, it’s been another absolutely manic day here at Lymm MOT Centre! 💪

Today’s little lot included:

✅ 13 MOT tests 🚘
✅ 3 services 🛠️
✅ 6 tyres fitted 🛞
✅ 1 shock absorber replaced 🔩

And that’s before we’ve even worked out what the apprentice is up to! 😂

It’s days like today that remind us just how busy a local MOT centre can get. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who keeps us busy and supports our little business. ❤️

🚗 ANOTHER LITTLE CAR LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME… ❤️

Following on from the little Fiat 500 we sold recently, we’ve got another one that we think deserves a mention…

This time it’s this little Vauxhall Corsa 1.2. 😊

😳😳 "It’ll be fine, it's just a little bit of mist!" 🌫️😂

We had this Toyota RAV4 in at Lymm MOT Centre this week, and the customer asked if we could overlook the light fog machine billowing out of the back!

Look, we love a bit of atmosphere as much as the next garage, but we're pretty sure turning our entire workshop into a secret agent escape scene isn't on the official MOT checklist. 🚗💨

Spoiler alert: It didn't quite pass. 🛑🤣

After yesterday’s post about the baby camper van turning up at Lymm MOT Centre, I stepped away for five minutes to answer the call of nature…

Came back and thought we’d started breeding them! 😂

There were THREE big campers sat waiting for me. 🚐🚐🚐

I’m not quite sure what happened while I was gone, but apparently word has got around that Lymm MOT Centre is the place to bring your motorhome for its MOT! 😂

From baby campers to proper great big motorhomes, if it fits through the door and on the ramp, we’ll MOT it! 💪🔧

Although looking at this lot, I might need to start charging rent for the parking spaces! Just Kidding! 😂

🚐 A BABY CAMPER ON THE MOT RAMP! 😂

We had this little beauty in with us yesterday at Lymm MOT Centre for its MOT.

It’s a Fiat Scudo camper — and although it might be a bit smaller than some of the motorhomes we get through the doors, it’s still perfectly at home on our Class 7 ramp! 👌

We’ve tested everything from little cars to big vans and motorhomes, and we genuinely love the variety that comes through our doors.

You never quite know what’s going to be waiting for you when you open the garage in the morning! 😂

🚗❤️ WHAT A BEAUTY!… THEN ZAK OPENED HIS MOUTH! 😂

We had this absolutely gorgeous 1974 Triumph Stag back with us today for its second MOT at Lymm MOT Centre.

And what a car it is. 😍

I was telling our apprentice Zak all about it — what a beautiful machine it is, and that it was first put on the road in 1974.

I then casually pointed out that I was only nine months old when this car was registered.

Zak looked at the car.

Looked at me.

Then came out with:

“Wow… that’s ancient.”

😂😂😂

I was actually talking about the car, but thanks for making it very clear that, in your eyes, I’m basically a museum exhibit as well. 😂

The good news is the Stag passed its MOT, just 130 miles covered in last 12 months, so at least one of us has still got plenty of life left in it. 🤣

What an absolute cracker of a car though. ❤️

As for Zak…

I think he can make the brews for the rest of the week while I contemplate my newly discovered status as a classic. 😂

❤️⛳️ WHAT AN AMAZING DAY! ❤️⛳️

We were absolutely delighted to sponsor a tee at Lymm Ladies Golf Club, raising money for the fantastic St. Rocco’s Hospice.

And what an incredible bunch of ladies they are!

Through their amazing fundraising efforts, they managed to raise OVER £16,000 for St. Rocco’s! 😲👏❤️

That is a truly incredible amount of money and will make a real difference to a charity that provides such important care and support to local people and their families.

St. Rocco’s relies heavily on fundraising and donations to keep providing its specialist care, so events like this really do matter. ❤️

We were so pleased to be able to play a small part by sponsoring the tea, but the real credit goes to the ladies of Lymm Golf Club for organising such a fantastic event and raising such a phenomenal amount.

It’s lovely to see a local club doing so much for the local community — and judging by the amount of money they’ve raised, they clearly know how to do charity properly! 😂👏

£16,000+ raised, plenty of tea consumed and a brilliant cause supported.

Well done ladies. You’re absolutely amazing! ❤️
