We recently had this Audi S5 in for our Stage 1 Custom Dyno Tuning, with the gearbox (TCU) calibrated to match.

π Stock: 354bhp | 541Nm
π DC Stage 1 Custom + TCU: 421bhp | 623Nm
β
That's an increase of 67bhp and 82Nm of torque.
β
The peak figures only tell half the story. Standard, the S5's torque peaks early and then falls away. Tuned, it builds to 623Nm and carries around 100Nm more right through the mid-range, from 2,600rpm to over 5,000rpm, while power holds above 410bhp from 5,000rpm to the end of the run. The gearbox calibration lets the automatic handle that extra torque properly, with sharper, quicker shifts.

As always, the vehicle was diagnosed and health checked before tuning, followed by baseline dyno testing to establish its original performance.

From there, the calibration was developed specifically around the vehicle using live data logging and repeated dyno testing, before carrying out the final power runs to verify the finished result.
