Spend a private half-day with me on Dartmoor’s green lanes, in your own vehicle, at your own pace. We’ll cover diff-locks, low-range, hill descent, recovery points, legal routes and how to read the terrain ahead, so you can head out on your own adventures with confidence.

What a fantastic time we had at the River Dart Land Rover Show this year. My favourite show of the year with a stunning location, great vibe and some impressive variety on display.

Brookwells Land Rover Parts absolutely smashed the organisation of the show. Ali and Aaron in particular 🙌

It was great to chat with those of you who stopped by our stand. It was the first time we’d had our own stand and for a bit of fun, invited two others to share it that weren’t Land Rovers! Thanks to 🅹🅺🅾🆅🅴🆁🅻🅰🅽🅳 ╳ 🅹🅰🅲🅺 & 🅺🆁🅸🆂🆃🅸🅽🅰 in their awesome MK1 Pajero “Molly” and Neil with his brand new Landcruiser that he’s building into an overlanding spec.

I had a lot of interest on some of the kit I currently run like my Roof Space | Dachzelte | Camping tent and HUTT drawer and bed system.

I had some fun speaking with young Toby up on the main stage as we chatted about his Defender 110 (OneLifeLandyIt). I’ve recorded our chat and it will work its way into a YouTube video very soon.

And a personal highlight was having Reece from the Cornwall and Devon Land Rover Club take me out in one of the CCV class Land Rovers. Screaming Rover V8 in my ears as we went up and down a seemingly impossible route! Got the mud splatters to prove it! 😆

Also a big shout out to our neighbours hyenaoverland who took these photos for us 🙌 the quality of their products really did impress me.

Too many names to mention but what a community of people we have in the Land Rover scene. Love it.

We’re going to be at the Land Rover Show at the River Dart Country Park, Devon, UK on the 19th September.

We’ll have our own stand where we’re having our friends and partners join us, including Roof Space | hybrid rooftent | camping, HUTT, 🅹🅺🅾🆅🅴🆁🅻🅰🅽🅳 ╳ 🅹🅰🅲🅺 & 🅺🆁🅸🆂🆃🅸🅽🅰 and OneLifeLandyIt.

This little Freelander 1 has been added to the collection and what an incredibly fun little thing it is.

You can pick these up for very little money here in the UK but I expect that will change as they become more scarce and collectible.

To me, the Freelander 1 represents what the ubiquitous term ‘SUV’ actually is. Emphasis on the sports and fun aspect.

I’ve been enjoying this 3 door variant with the hardtop you can remove. Something I’ve been able to enjoy with the Mediterranean style summer we’ve had.

I’ve been busy with some minor fettling and the enormous stock back box is soon to be replaced with a slimline MuddyMods one. Beyond this, this little Hippo will be kept fairly stock, showing how much fun can be had without the need to break the bank and modify to an inch of its life.

There is something really rewarding with being able to show people how to drive their Land Rovers and 4x4’s off-road.

Here’s a great example of me getting one of my guests to try different lines and approach speeds to tackle a rock step.

It doesn’t look much on video but it provides some good cross axle articulation. Enough to challenge the centre diff lock and require some driver skill and knowledge to tackle.

He’s also driving what I would call a proper Land Rover. A 90s TDI Defender in farmer spec. Beautiful.

You know what it’s like. You start making camp, put the roof top tent up and then you need to move where you’re pitched.

Thanks to the clever engineering of the Roof Space 4 tent. No longer do I need to close it like I did with the iKamper I had. Instead I can drive around with it fully open!

What a fantastic weekend spent at with the team.

Having had my Roof Space 4 tent for a number of months now, it was a huge amount of fun talking to people at the show. The novelty of showing its strength of hanging off the side along with the panaramic mode, never failed to impress.

It’s always useful having other products and tents all at the same place as it helps provide some context and comparison. Yes, the Roof Space tents are more expensive but it’s easy to see how and why when you see them up close.

I loved the fact our stand was so international, with Germans, Brits and Hungarians all sharing their passion for travel and camping in beautiful nature!

Around every corner of Dartmoor you come across incredible scenery. From expansive views that stretch out to the horizon to dense forests teeming with life.

Exploring by 4x4 allows you to head out but with some of the creature comforts of home to enjoy a coffee in the wilderness!
