There’s something wonderfully relaxing about exploring the River Thames in an electric boat.

The Corsiva 605 (electric) offers a smooth, comfortable cruising experience perfect for enjoying the river with a lighter environmental footprint.

With its spacious layout, generous aft sunbed and sociable seating, it’s designed for summer days spent unwinding with family and friends, whether you’re cruising the Thames or beyond.

For many owners, electric propulsion adds another layer to the experience, allowing you to glide peacefully through the water while appreciating the sounds of nature and the beauty of your surroundings.

One of the River Thames’ most fascinating traditions begins today.

From 13–17 July, Swan Upping will travel along the Thames, with the King’s Swan Marker and Swan Uppers carrying out the annual census of mute swans.

While many might think it’s simply about counting swans, the tradition now plays an important role in conservation, helping monitor the health and wellbeing of both adult swans and their cygnets.

If you’re local to Henley, you’ll have the chance to see this centuries-old tradition on Wednesday 15 July, when the flotilla passes through Henley Town (1.30pm), Marsh Lock (3.30pm) and Shiplake Lock (5.00pm).

Whether you’re watching from the riverbank or from a boat, it’s a wonderful reminder of the history, wildlife and traditions that make the River Thames so special.

Will you be watching Swan Upping this week? Save this post for the timetable.

The sunshine is set to continue throughout , with warm evenings forecast right through to Sunday.

If you’re planning to enjoy the festival from your boat before heading ashore, a little preparation will help you stay comfortable and make the most of every moment.

Before you cast off:
• Pack plenty of water and stay hydrated throughout the evening.
• Apply sunscreen before you head out and top it up regularly.
• Bring hats, sunglasses and seek shade where you can if needed.

One of the joys of Henley Festival is experiencing it from the water, but with temperatures expected to hover between 26°C - 30°C early evening, looking after yourself is just as important as enjoying the celebrations.

We’ve recently shared our top heatwave safety tips for boat owners over on the Val Wyatt blog. It’s full of practical advice to help you stay safe while making the most of this beautiful weather. You’ll find the link in our bio.

Here’s to glorious evenings on the Thames, spectacular entertainment and staying cool while you enjoy it all.
