Job Opportunity: Qualified HGV Mechanic

Salary: Dependent on experience

​We are a small, family run team, currently looking for a skilled and motivated Qualified HGV Mechanic to join us in Warboys. If you take pride in your work, enjoy problem-solving, and are looking for a supportive environment where your expertise is valued, we want to hear from you.

What We Are Looking For:

​We need a technician who can hit the ground running. To be successful in this role, you must possess:

●​Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (Time Served).
●​Experience: Proven experience working on HGV vehicles.
●​Mindset: A motivated self-starter who is equally comfortable working independently on complex diagnostics or collaborating with the wider team to get the job done.
●​Reliability: A strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.

​Are you a skilled technician looking for a role where your hard work is valued? We are a small, friendly, family-run team looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Trailer Technician/Fitter to join our busy workshop.

​The Role

​You will be responsible for ensuring our fleet and client trailers are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards. Your core duties will include:
●​Preventative Maintenance: Carrying out high-quality routine servicing and repairs.
​●Inspections: Performing thorough pre-MOT inspections to ensure a first-time pass rate.
●​System Diagnostics: Utilizing your expertise to troubleshoot and repair ABS and EBS systems.
●​Electrical Work: Diagnosing and resolving faults within trailer electrical systems.
●​General Repairs: Managing various trailer-related mechanical repairs as required.

​What We Are Looking For

●​Reliability: We are a small team that relies on everyone pulling their weight; punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
●​Technical Skill: Proven experience in trailer maintenance, specifically with braking (ABS/EBS) and electrical systems.
●​Quality Focused: You must be able to perform inspections and repairs to a high standard, with a keen eye for detail.
●​Team Player: A positive attitude is a must to fit in with our friendly, family-run culture.
