This Vauxhall Mokka came to us with serious DPF problems, but on inspection we found something much worse…

The DPF had melted internally. 🔥

Once the DPF substrate has melted and collapsed, a chemical clean cannot restore it. Continuing to try and regenerate a DPF in this condition can potentially cause further problems.

In this case, the correct solution was to replace the damaged DPF and ensure the underlying issue was addressed.

Another Mercedes E-Class brought back from severe DPF issues ✅

This Mercedes E-Class was mainly being used for very short journeys — only around 6 miles a day to and from work — which is one of the biggest causes of DPF blockage problems.

After carrying out full diagnostics, we found:

This Mercedes C-Class came to us with poor performance and DPF warnings. On the surface it looked like a typical blocked DPF — but as always, we carried out a full diagnostic to find the root cause.

🔎 What we found:
👉 A turbo boost leak
👉 DPF heavily restricted due to excess soot build-up

The boost leak was causing incorrect air/fuel mixture, leading to poor combustion and rapid soot build-up — which is what blocked the DPF in the first place.
