Well we got there in the end 😍

The shop car finally up and running.

The marks the next step up we are making here at Race J***y Performance with keeping all the mechanical work done IN-HOUSE.

After quite a large investment in tools we are now building engines in house, this is a fully blueprinted process which means were not just throwing a set of bearings in and hoping for the best.

Everything is measured and parts selected for exact tolerances and documented with each build.

🔸️ Piston to wall clearance

🔸️ Piston ring gaps

🔸️ Main bearing oil clearance

🔸️ Rod bearing oil clearance

🔸️ Crankshaft endplay

These are all measured to a 1/1000th of a mm and then adjusted to get the tolerance were looking for.

This also means we can offer a drive in, drive out, r35 gtr engine build in 4 weeks or less.

Im personally very excited to get this motor run in and tuned to see what we can push out of it 💚

R35 GTR gearbox stripdown ready for a forged gearset install 💪

This GTR which spends most of its life on the tracks around the UK is upgrading the gearset to improve the longevity of the transmission after breaking a 4th gear last year and not wanting the same thing to happen again.

R35 GTR clutch problems.

Juddering pulling away ?

Harsh shifting, up or down ?

Squawking noise when pulling away or reversing, especially uphill ?

Clutch slip at cruise speeds, rpm bouncing up and down at 70mph ?

All these are likely caused by the clutch plates either being out of tolerance or warped.

We've been building these clutches for years and have seen it all.

Mitch's GTR has entered the shop for a Stage 4.25 upgrade!

This build features a Brand new on the market air filter kit developed by MST, strategically designed to keep the filters easy to clean/replace while maximizing cold airflow from the front bumper.

To enhance performance even further, we’ve paired it with 3.5-inch downpipes, 1050cc injectors, and an Armytrix Valved 3.5-inch exhaust. This GTR is now reaching the performance levels that should have come straight from the factory! 💪

Ray's GTR is undergoing some significant heat management improvements!

Our friends at have provided their latest turbo manifold heat blanket setup, offering excellent value and a sleek appearance that outperforms the OEM heat shields, which often deteriorate over time.

During the upgrade process, we discovered a crack in one of the turbo manifolds that the customer was unaware of. Fortunately, we had already committed to the project, so we promptly stripped the turbo down for repairs. To further enhance protection, the customer chose to have the manifolds coated by with their top-of-the-line coating, which effectively reduces surface temperatures by up to 33%! Plus, this coating comes with a 3-year guarantee.

The first feedback from the customer was fantastic; they noticed a remarkable increase in turbo responsiveness right after the upgrades!

Money spent in the right places 👀👀👀

Currently gearing up to build these motors IN-HOUSE.

Lots of money spent, lots of hours spent, lots of data collecting.

This engine will be the first fully in-house built motor from us.

This should drastically improve turnaround times and give us more options with what we do and how we do it 💪
