🚘 **WHAT HAPPENS ON YOUR FIRST DRIVING LESSON?**

If you've never driven before, you might be wondering what to expect!

Here's the good news: nobody expects you to know everything already. 😊

Your first lesson can be about getting comfortable with the car, understanding the controls and learning the basics at a suitable pace.

You'll have the chance to ask questions, build confidence and start developing your driving skills.

No need to compare yourself with anyone else. Everyone starts somewhere!

🚗🚗 THINGS TO ASK A DRIVING INSTRUCTOR BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO THEM:

-Are you a qualified, DVSA-approved driving instructor? Make sure your instructor is properly qualified and authorised to give paid driving lessons.
-Do you cover my area? Ask whether they collect from your home, college or workplace, and where lessons usually begin.
-How much do your lessons cost? Ask about the hourly rate, block-booking discounts and any offers for new learners.
-How long is the lesson? not everyone does full hours- so just because they seem slightly cheaper, you might be getting less for more.
-How soon can I start, and how often can I have lessons? Find out whether the instructor has availability that suits your schedule and how regularly you can book.
-How do you help nervous beginners? If you're anxious about driving, look for someone patient who explains things clearly and lets you build confidence at a suitable pace.
-What car will I learn in? Ask whether it's manual or automatic, whether the car has dual controls and whether you'll normally have the same vehicle.
-What's your cancellation policy? Find out how much notice you need to give if you can't attend a lesson and whether any fees apply.
