Each and every one of us at Tyre Guys are deeply saddened to hear of Arthur’s passing. He wasn’t just a regular customer, he was part of our family here - always bringing a smile, a story, and a bit of laughter with him - with Jack never too far behind him.

We will miss him dearly and feel lucky to have known him. Our love and thoughts are with his family and friends 🤍

All of us at New Brighton RNLI were saddened to hear of the passing of Arthur Maddock on Monday 1 September 2025 🛟

Arthur was Mechanic at New Brighton RNLI for 12 years in the 1960s, and we thank him for his service to saving lives at sea. A local fisherman for much of his life, locals may remember Arthur for his ship, the Manx Beauty, which served as a floating fishmongers in Birkenhead Tower Quay for many years.

Our flag will be flying at half mast in memory of Arthur's service. Our deepest condolences go to Arthur's family and friends at this difficult time. 🌹
