Few more loose ends tidied up, bunch more JIC line puzzles sorted, front end is finally sitting in a semi respectable position for bumper and headlights to be fitted & interior wiring is 60% completed. Time to get back behind the metal sticker and make some manifolds then ready for final fabrication of exhaust and engine wiring.

We’ve stripped heads - broken bread, dipped tungsten - broken bones, gained memories - helped others. It’s been a rough ole’ year for a bunch of us on this weird old floating ball we call home & I can’t thank you all enough for your continued support, business, laughs and memories over this past year. Raise our glasses and toast to a merry 2022 and let’s steam full on into 2023 ready to smash some new goals and make some more memories! 2023 - the year it turns the cog! Have a great Christmas and happy (healthy) new year to you all!

Excuse the quality of video but nice to see some wiring getting tied up. I opted for the lot to be controlled via key vs individual switching (less weight, less wiring, less hassle etc…) Latching retained keeping clocks, lambda, dash and 12v feeds active when turned ‘off’ but kills feeds to ecu, coils and so forth until the key is removed from the barrel. Another step forward, let’s get the main loom knocked out now…

Finally after what should have been a direct fit the shifter is somewhere where it needs to be, far from perfect but close. Shifting seems effortless now and direct (I was aiming for something fairly impossible on a transverse car - something that felt like my S14, solid, precise with zero play)

Doing you proud Hans. Another crappy job ticked off the list.

ITS OKAY TO F**K UP!
——————
Too many people fear and get caught up on their fails because Instagram and online social media portrays all the ‘good’ sides yet very few actually document and will show their fails.
——————
I’ve always been extremely transparent and will always hold up my hands and say ‘ I fu**ed up ‘ whenever something hasn’t gone to plan. The key is not to get too caught up, assess the situation, eliminate the issue for future reference and MOVE ON.
——————
I’ve wasted way too much of my life worrying and overthinking issues that could have been easily avoidable had I just taken a step back and assessed the situation for a moment. So im here to show you not everything goes to plan.
——————
Here is a perfect example of me de nibbing the paint and flatting back where I had clear coat curtaining & cut that fraction too deep into the base coat.

Was I angry? Yes.
Am I going to loose sleep over it? No.

Forget and move on. We all f**k up ALL the time, anyone who says they don’t is a straight up f**king lier. PERIOD!

Now go make some cool s**t!!

Had another few hours free today to knock out some more work on the car. Folded up a new heat panel for the bulkhead spacing it away to give airflow behind & created a shield for the brake servo & master, clutch line, PS line and rack. Now for a beer! 🍻
