Another VW Golf 1.6 TDI 2009 back on the road and running as it should! 👌
The vehicle came in with the engine management light on ⚠️ and was also due for a full service.

After carrying out diagnostics, the fault was traced to a throttle valve stuck open. The part was tested to confirm the fault before being replaced. 🔧

Once fitted, the vehicle was taken on a 40-minute road test, and I'm happy to say no fault codes returned and the engine management light stayed off. ✅

Due to heavy carbon build-up and poor oil condition, a full service was recommended and completed, including:

⛽ Fuel filter
💨 Air filter
🌬️ Cabin filter
🔩 New sump plug & washer

BMW 420D 2019 in for a full service and front shock absorber replacement. 🚗🔧
This BMW had a full BMW service history and was supposedly serviced every year. However, after inspecting the vehicle, it looked like some of the service items hadn't been replaced for the last 2–3 years. 👀

Work carried out:
✅ Oil & oil filter
✅ Air filter (heavily clogged)
✅ Fuel filter
✅ Cabin filter
✅ New sump plug & washer
✅ Full vehicle health check
✅ Front shock absorber replaced

The customer complained that the steering wheel wasn't sitting straight. After a thorough inspection, we found the cause – a bent front shock absorber.

The customer supplied their own service parts, all from quality brands that meet OEM specifications. We’re always happy to fit customer-supplied parts when they meet the correct standards. 👍

During the service, we found the engine air filter was heavily blocked. 😲 A restricted air filter can reduce engine performance, increase fuel consumption, and in some cases contribute to turbocharger issues if left unchecked over a long period.

This 2017 Toyota Yaris 1.5 Petrol/Hybrid came in for a full service. ✅

While replacing the cabin filter, we discovered that the blower motor had sucked in a large amount of tissue and plastic gloves. 😲 Luckily, the cabin filter was due for replacement, otherwise this may have gone unnoticed. Left unchecked, it could have damaged the blower motor, leading to a costly repair bill for the customer. 💰

This is another great example of why regular servicing is so important. It helps spot hidden issues before they become expensive problems. 👨‍🔧

Ford Fiesta 1.25 petrol 2009 came in after the auxiliary belt snapped. The customer heard a loud bang 💥 followed by white smoke coming from the engine and a strong burnt rubber smell.

After carrying out a full inspection, we found the auxiliary belt had failed due to a seized A/C compressor pulley.

We replaced the A/C compressor, fitted a new auxiliary belt, and carried out a thorough 1-hour road test. ✅ No more unusual noises, no smoke, and no burning smell. The vehicle is now running perfectly and safely back on the road. 👌

Audi A3 2014 1.6L diesel in for rear pads & new calliper with EPB (electronic parking brake) motor👨‍🔧

Customer came in after hearing grinding noises when braking 😬 After a full inspection one of the calipers wasn’t releasing due to corrosion & failed parking brake motor, common problem on the VAG cars.

Replaced with a set of OEM-matching parts after customer agreed ✅, Everything was cleaned thoroughly, ceramic brake grease applied to help prevent corrosion and eliminate unwanted noise, and all components torqued to manufacturer specifications 🧰

New calliper bled to release air
Brake fluid topped up
New parking brake module programmed in
Road test & quality check completed

Customer came in after hearing grinding noises when braking 😬 After a full inspection, all the pads & disc were worn out with check brake pad warning on dash

Replaced with a full set of OEM-matching parts all round after customer agreed ✅, Everything was cleaned thoroughly, ceramic brake grease applied to help prevent corrosion and eliminate unwanted noise, and all components torqued to manufacturer specifications 🧰

New brake wear sensor was also fitted
