Well, just over a year as a trainee instructor is over, I've helped 12 students pass their test to gain a full licence, unfortunately I couldn't do that for myself, after 3 attempts pass the instructional ability test as of 00:01 on 28th November 2025 I'm no longer an instructor. I may be able to retrain in 2026 but at the moment I'm unsure if I want to do that. This page will stay up to remember what I was able to do and in case I come back to the job later

Very cold morning today. Stay safe out on the roads, especially in estates gritters don't visit

November is looking like it will be a very busy month for tests, 6 students plus my own instructor test. Wishing good luck to them all and hoping every student gets a mark sheet with pass on it at the end of their test
This was a recent mock test carried out with a student to ensure they are ready and got a great result

Congratulations to Luke passing his test in Wakefield, Luke had some previous experience driving so didn't need a lot of work to be test ready, just a few manoeuvres to focus on. Enjoy being out on the road

Sharing with permission from student. Rebecca has been practicing parking manoeuvres over the last few lessons and got the car perfectly within the lines in Snow Hill car park during a busy time of day with lots of hazards and obstacles to watch out for. Well done and keep up the good work đź‘Ť
