Today’s track day was a chassis and engine shakedown test of 64 hard punishing laps.

The car was run at a low 21 psi of boost and easily put the car at a 1.15.01 laptime for Donnington national circuit.

The engine test was perfection 64 laps upto 8000 revs was abuse enough
The chassis shakedown however showed some problems with the tubular front subframe which will need some attention ready for a few races next season.

But for Context the 1.15.?? Laptime is podium place in Modified Fords race series and that with only 1.5 bar boost.

This car is by no means finished or upto speed and is already proving to be not just class leading but competitive against the like of seriously expensive Cosworth Powered Modified Fords race cars.

Expect a massive 4,500+ RPM wide powerband while still pumping out well over 400 UK BHP.

Project Aero took on Oulton Park, and it was absolutely terrifyingly fast! 🚀🔥
The pace is definitely there, but that new flat floor trapped a massive amount of exhaust heat, sending the cabin and fuel temperatures completely through the roof. 🥵
Back to the Unit to get it sorted. Next time we hit the track, we’ll be armed with:
Brand-new slick tyres 🏁
Upgraded brake cooling 🛑
Additional exhaust wrap from Thermo-Met to keep the cabin temps under control 🛠️
We also need to take a serious look at the fuel system to figure out how to keep it cool. ⛽
