The third Wednesday of the month means it was night at the Fairmile pub Cobham. We don’t really do Porsche shows but this one is different. The most eclectic gathering imaginable from early 356’s to the latest GT2 RS and everything in between. All flavours of Porsche are represented and the best part - everyone appreciates everyone else.
It isn’t a concours show, it isn’t a battle to see who’s got the most money, it’s just a field full of people who love cars. Some trips down memory lane, some very rare metal and some cars you’d forgotten you once owned back in the day.
All topped off with a bite to eat in the pub. Oh and the M25 was deserted on the drive home - absolute heaven.

Just thought they looked good together. 24 years spanning them but you wouldn’t know it, they all still look spotless.

Porsche really are an incredible company. Technical innovation and development whilst never losing their core DNA. Each one of these turns heads, competes with modern traffic on equal terms and most importantly rewards the driver.

We’ve been buying and selling Porsches for over 30 years and still sell models from the early days alongside more current editions. Add to that a workshop able to service and repair an equally broad spectrum.

When is a broken fan belt not a broken fan belt ?

Customer calls up with what seems a straightforward issue, a failed serpentine belt. Further investigation reveals the root cause is actually a failed water pump.

We also replace the tensioner rollers to be safe and spot a couple of coolant pipes that need changing as well.

No 2 days are ever the same in the workshop.

Winter hibernation is officially over and 2026 is open for business. We had the first Wednesday evening gathering at the Fairmile pub on Cobham last night.

I’ve said it before but this free to attend event is brilliant. A massive range of cars from the 1950’s to the current day and an eclectic group of owners who all break bread together. No sub groups, no cliques, no favouritism.

Rounded the night off with lamb shank pie.

Held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, kick off is 6.00pm.

Be careful when checking your tyres. Had this car in for a service and whilst from a casual glance through the wheel arch all looked well the reality was anything but.

The front tyres were also mismatched thanks to a recent puncture- how the rear tyres were missed at the time we will never know……

New tyres and a 4 wheel alignment coming right up 🙂

That was a lucky catch and in the event of an accident there’s a high chance the insurance company would not pay out.
