NEVER ignore warning lights. 🚨🔧

This Peugeot Boxer came into us as a non-runner. Once we got it stripped down, we found the oil pump chain had snapped, causing a catastrophic loss of oil pressure.

Unfortunately, the van continued to be driven with the red oil warning light illuminated.

The result? What could potentially have been a much smaller repair has turned into a major engine rebuild.

We've found damage to the:

🔧 Crankshaft
🔧 Connecting rods
🔧 Pistons
🔧 Cylinder walls
🔧 Camshafts & followers
🔧 Piston rings

Our technicians have the engine completely stripped, fully diagnosed and we're now getting ready to start the repairs. 🧑‍🔬🔩

The takeaway is simple:

**RED OIL LIGHT = STOP. DON'T KEEP DRIVING.** 🛑

Warning lights are there for a reason. Ignoring them can turn a repair into a major engine rebuild very quickly.

Another one from breakdown to back on the road 🔧🚗

This Nissan lost its clutch and was left stranded, so we carried out the recovery and brought it back to our workshop.

Our team diagnosed the fault and found failed pipework within the clutch system.

“Something doesn't look right with the wheels…” 👀🔧

This Toyota was causing concern after the customer noticed the wheels sitting wonky.

Luckily, they didn't take any chances and called us.

We carried out the recovery and, once safely back with us, we found the real problem…

The rear axle had actually snapped. 😳

This is exactly why you shouldn't continue driving when something doesn't feel or look right. What may seem like a simple alignment issue could be something far more serious.

Thankfully, we have the specialist recovery equipment to safely move vehicles that can't be driven, along with the workshop facilities to diagnose and repair them.

That "little noise" isn't always little... 👀🔧

This car came to us after another garage had previously checked a squeaking noise from the rear of the engine and advised it was nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately, the vehicle later broke down completely and needed recovery.

After carrying out our diagnostics, we confirmed complete turbo failure.

That squeaking noise was a classic early warning sign of excessive turbo wear.

Had the issue been identified and repaired before the turbo failed completely, the repair would have been far less invasive, quicker and significantly cheaper.

We now have to replace the turbo and thoroughly clean the oil system to remove contamination from the failed unit before fitting the new components.

The lesson? Don't ignore unusual noises, and don't settle for "it's probably nothing" if something doesn't feel right.

Early diagnosis can save you thousands.
