A huge congratulations to Nehir on passing her driving test first time!

She did a brilliant job managing her test nerves and demonstrated great skills throughout, including handling the emergency stop confidently.

It’s been great to see your confidence grow throughout the lessons, with extra support from her parents through private practice. That teamwork will make a real difference!

And I couldn’t resist sneaking my new car into the celebration photo! 😁

Now it’s time to enjoy the independence of driving yourself to university. Best of luck with everything ahead!

🚨 **£50 BILLION A YEAR.**

That's the estimated economic cost of road collisions in Britain.

And the numbers behind that figure are even harder to ignore.

In 2024:

• **1,602 people were killed** on Great Britain's roads.
• **29,467 people were killed or seriously injured.**
• That's roughly **4–5 people killed every single day.**
• Someone was killed or seriously injured approximately **every 18 minutes.**
• The estimated cost to the economy runs into **tens of billions of pounds every year.**

And that's before you can put a price on the grief, trauma and lives changed forever.

Road crashes aren't just a road-safety problem.

They're a **human problem, a social problem and a massive economic problem.**

The numbers are difficult to comprehend.

But behind every statistic is a person.

🚀 The National Conference 2026

Yesterday was another reminder of just how important events like the National Conference & Expo are for our industry. And what a great reminder, organised magnificently by ADINJC and Intelligent Instructor.

As an industry we spend so much of our time in cars, classrooms or behind screens that opportunities to get together, and share ideas, see each other face to face and say hello really matter.

For us at KIT, it was a particularly special one. We got to talk about something we genuinely care about, developing instructors beyond simply what is required to pass a SC or part 3, and continuing to ask bigger questions about how we CREATE safer drivers.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our talk. We hope that you left with something to research or thinking about something slightly differently, that’s exactly what we want our sessions to be about.

And thank you to everyone who stopped at the KIT stand throughout the day. So many conversations, familiar faces, new faces, and questions about what we’re working on next, so plenty of interest in Creating Safer Drivers.

Events like this remind us that, despite the different approaches and opinions within our industry, there are a lot of people who genuinely care about making it better. We are certainly aiming to play our part.

Had a great day helping the Knowledgeablee Instructor Training stand at the Intelligent Instructor & The Approved Driving Instructors National Joint Council - ADINJC Expo in Solihull today.

Looking forward to heading to the Intelligent Instructor+The Approved Driving Instructors National Joint Council - ADINJC Expo next week.

It’s always great to get out of the car for a day, catch up with other instructors, meet some new people and, most importantly, keep learning and developing.

There’s always something new to take away from events like this, whether it’s ideas for my learners, improving my coaching or simply seeing what’s happening across the industry.
