The creation of The Soulful Explorer was a life long dream of Dominic Kelly the company director. Each conversion is carefully designed with the client.

The Soulful Explorer offers bespoke campervan conversions, made with the best materials and tailored to your every need, with a completely individual and unique feel. Established in early 2015, The Soulful Explorer is a campervan conversion business which focuses on creating bespoke and unique campervans of all shapes and sizes. In February 2015 he set up the business focussing on completely handmade bespoke campervan conversions; listening to the customers ideas and dreams; breaking away from the standard interior and appearance; each with a totally unique design, cosy feel and functional layout. We will guide you through the process making recommendations along the way for what may or may not work, ensuring that the result is exactly what you want and more. We try our absolute best to fit everything you need into a small space, use only the best materials and also to step away from the conventional look to give a personal and individual feel to your vehicle. Every campervan we create is completely unique, so you’ll never find one the same. The whole process is undertaken with great care and attention, to create a space that looks amazing, has excellent functionality, feels like home and puts you in a safe cosy bubble of awesomeness that you can take anywhere. Had this 4x4 beast in over the last few weeks… it’s a Mercedes Hymer MLT 580, quite the adventure ‘go anywhere’ wagon I tell you.

Hymer make lovely stuff, but it can also be lacking in jazz factor and sometimes lower quality than you’d expect. In this case we took out the old worktop with a fairly basic gas hob and sink setup, and replaced it with an oak veneered birch ply top, induction hob and new sink, all with lift out inserts for when it’s not in use. Also changed out the flip up table for a longer version in the same wood.

New dining table too, and a new bathroom floor with lift out section for the shower tray.

Nice job, looks ace, million times better than what was there before, kitchen is now gas-less too, and great fun to build for its lovely owners.

A four berth banger! For four very happy campers! Left the workshop last night, and now already on its way for a holiday in France 🇫🇷 🎉. Fab layout, tonnes of space, warm cozy sociable and does exactly what you want it to do. It’s been a pleasure guys, enjoy your trip!!
