It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Darren Vassie yesterday 10th March 2026, following a short illness. Darren was a great friend, member of the P6 Rover Owners Club and Rover P6 specialist and owner of 'Southern P6' in East Sussex.

Darren had been involved with the P6 Rover Owners Club for many years and was part of our Technical Advice Team. He had helped many members over the years giving advice and carrying out work on their Rover P6's from all over the country.
Darren was well known for his Rover P6 Estoura which he exhibited at the NEC Classic Motor Show in 2022. One of his last wishes were to exhibit his Series 1 Rover P6 V8 on our Club stand, and his 1939 Salmons-Tickford bodied Rover 20 DHC at the NEC Classic Car & Restoration Show next week. Unfortunately this wasn't meant to be.

We will be holding a one minute silence at the show on Sunday 22nd March at 2.00pm, held on the P6ROC stand (Hall 4, Stand No. 4-465) at the NEC show to reflect and remember Darren Vassie.
Everyone is welcome to join us.

Our thoughts and condolences to his wife Samantha, daughter Kayleigh, son Raine and family at this very sad time.
Darren will be missed by all, leaving a huge gap in the Rover world.
