This coming weekend Base Restaurant are catering a wedding and will not be available for post parkrun brunch on the 29th August. Instead, join us at The Orangery Cafe & Gift Shop at St Mary's Hospice which opens from 10am.

As announced in the RD briefing on August 1st, this Saturday 15th August is the first parkrun using our "new" timings, which are as follows...

8:45 Tourists and first timers briefing

8:55 Run Director's briefing

9:00 GO!

This will bring us in line with many other parkruns, but the driving reason behind the change is to get the drive opened at 10:00 - bringing the actual start time to 9:00 will help!

Ford Park is celebrating their Birthday Bash on Saturday 8th August, so there will be no Ford parkrun this weekend. If you decide to be a parkrun tourist rather than have a lie-in, please do check the website and page of any event that you plan to travel to - August is a very busy month for some parkruns, e.g. Fell Foot parkrun is warning parkrunners to arrive extra early to get a car park space and not to risk a ticket by parking on the road.

Missing token 39 has been joined by the newly lost token number 57. If you find either/both of these in your pockets, could we pretty please have them back?

Well done to all volunteers today for hosting Ford parkrun with a record breaking 222 participants. I hope you all had a nice lie down afterwards! For those curious, our previous highest was 201 on Christmas Day 2025 and our lowest was 43 on 11 December 2021!
