Our packages are all inclusive – we use a Landrover Freelander and a Bateson trailer – all fuel, insurance and everything is included – so you need nothing more – unlike some companies that only provide the trailer and nothing else. We did a two day Novice Course with Aidan.
Like most builders Merchants the lorry crane is fitted with a brick gap and has lifting hooks on the legs of the grab.

ULTS offers a National Registration and 6 hours driver CPC if this is something you require.

A great two days and a chuffed Aidan for passing.

A driving licence confirms that someone has passed the required test, but it doesn’t confirm familiarity with a specific vehicle, its dimensions, blind spots, braking characteristics, safety systems or the load it may be carrying.

For drivers moving to a larger or unfamiliar vehicle, proper familiarisation is an important part of safe and confident driving.

🚛 For drivers: If the vehicle is new or unfamiliar to you, ask for familiarisation time before getting behind the wheel.

📋 For managers: Don’t assume the correct licence category equals competence. Drivers should receive appropriate vehicle familiarisation training before being authorised to operate an unfamiliar vehicle, with that training properly documented.
