Rainy days don’t have to dampen your driving confidence. As the April showers roll in, it’s the perfect time to brush up on those wet‑weather skills and stay safe on the roads.
Top tips for driving in the rain:
• Slow down and give yourself extra stopping distance
• Keep headlights on so you’re seen as well as safe
• Avoid harsh braking or sharp steering
• Watch out for standing water and the risk of aquaplaning
• Make sure your wipers and tyres are in good condition
