Even a low-mileage motorhome still needs regular maintenance and servicing. Seals age, tyres crack, batteries degrade and damp can start long before you notice it.

Low mileage doesn’t mean low maintenance. 🚐🔧

No, you can’t just overload your tow car by 10%. 🚗🚫

There’s been a bit of confusion around the latest UK towing weight proposal, so here’s the important part.

It is only a proposal at this stage, it is not law, and it is not a blanket 10% allowance.

The proposal would allow manufacturers, in certain circumstances, to specify an increase of up to 10% or 100kg, whichever is lower. For now, your plated vehicle limits still matter.

So before hitching up:

✅ Check your vehicle weight plate
✅ Check your gross train weight
✅ Don’t assume you’ve suddenly got extra capacity

Costa del Turra → Madrid ✈️

We were approached with an unusual question: Could SHR Hydraulic Levelling be adapted to work on this specialist trailer? 🤔

There was no off-the-shelf solution, so we teamed up with SHR, worked out what was needed and made it happen.

The result? A bespoke hydraulic levelling setup, fitted here at TCC Services and now bound for Madrid. 🇪🇸

A little collaboration. A little problem solving. One very different job.

📣 CLOSED FOR TURRIFF SHOW 📣

The TCC team are taking a well-earned day off for Turriff Show, and this year we thought we’d leave the workshop in safe hooves. 🐮🐑🐓

Unfortunately, our new technicians are proving a little harder to manage than we expected. 😅 One keeps eating the paperwork, one won’t stop chewing the tools, and one just wants to chase motorhomes around the yard. 🙈

We’ll be closed Monday 3rd August and back open as normal on Tuesday 4th August.
