Preseason Complete. Tomorrow, History Begins. 💛🖤
Preseason has certainly tested us, but that’s exactly what it’s there for.
Our journey began away to Grampound in Division 4 East, where we were beaten 5-3. Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take away as a newly assembled squad began to gel.
Next came a tough afternoon against a very strong Frogpool side, who ran out 6-0 winners. It was a difficult result, but one that highlighted the standards we need to reach.
We then travelled to Troon AFC for what was meant to be a fixture against their reserves. However, after recognising many of the faces, it became clear several players had recently featured for their first team in their victory over Mousehole. We lost 5-1, but the experience of playing against that level of opposition will only benefit us.
Our final preseason game came against newly promoted Dropship Reserves, and although we narrowly lost 3-2, this was by far our most encouraging performance. We saw real glimpses of the football we know this group is capable of playing. The effort, commitment and togetherness shown gave everyone at the club plenty to be excited about heading into the new season.
Preseason isn’t judged on results alone—it’s about building fitness, understanding each other, creating a team identity and preparing for the challenges ahead. Every game has taught us something, and every player has contributed to where we are today.
And now… the real thing begins.
Tomorrow marks a huge moment in the history of Trelawny FC as we play our first-ever Saturday league fixture. After all the hard work behind the scenes, the preseason preparation, and the incredible support from everyone involved with the club, we finally get to begin this exciting new chapter.
The squad is ready, the boots are cleaned, and we can’t wait to pull on the shirt and represent the badge as we begin our Division 4 West campaign away to Carharrack AFC.
One person who’s probably even more excited than the players is our Chairman and Manager, Josh Harvey. Rumour has it that if Trelawny FC comes away with all three points tomorrow, he might just be seen sprinting around the pitch waving his shirt above his head in celebration! 😂🏃♂️💛🖤
Whether that happens or not, one thing is certain—this club has been built on hard work, commitment and an incredible group of people. Tomorrow is another milestone in our journey, and we’re ready to give absolutely everything for the badge.
Your support means everything. If you can make it, get down to the ground, make some noise, and help us kick off our first-ever Saturday league campaign in style.
Come on, Trelawny! 💛🖤⚽
