🎉 10 YEARS OF CNV MOTOR SERVICES! 🎉

Today marks 10 years since CNV Motor Services Ltd opened its doors! 🔧🚗

What started 10 years ago has grown into something we are incredibly proud of. We’ve met so many fantastic customers along the way, worked on countless vehicles, faced plenty of challenges, had a few laughs (and probably far too much coffee! ☕😂), and most importantly, built a business that we genuinely love.

A huge THANK YOU to every single customer who has trusted us with their vehicles, recommended us to friends and family, left us reviews, shared our posts or simply supported us over the years. ❤️

And to everyone who has been part of the CNV journey — past and present — thank you. We wouldn’t be here celebrating 10 years without you.

Here’s to 10 years of turning spanners, solving problems and keeping you on the road! 🔧

Happy 10th Birthday CNV Motor Services Ltd! 🥳

Thank you for being part of our journey. ❤️

🚨 Another Wet Belt Caught Just in Time! 🚨

Take a look at the condition of this wet timing belt removed from a 2019 Peugeot with only 68,000 miles 👀

As you can see from the photos, the belt is heavily cracked and deteriorating — despite being well below what many owners expect for replacement mileage.

⚠️ Why is this serious?
When wet belts begin to break down they can:

🔧 Shed rubber debris into the engine oil
🔧 Block the oil pick-up strainer
🔧 Cause low oil pressure
🔧 Lead to turbo failure
🔧 Cause catastrophic engine damage
🔧 Snap completely and destroy the engine internally

This customer avoided a potentially very expensive engine replacement by having it inspected in time.

💡 Our Advice:
Don’t rely solely on manufacturer intervals with wet belt engines. We strongly recommend inspection and early replacement to prevent failure — especially on vehicles over 5 years old or 50–70k miles.

📞 If you own a Peugeot, Citroën, Ford, Vauxhall or any vehicle with a wet belt engine and want peace of mind, get in touch to book an inspection.

🚗 Important Advice for Drivers — Wet Belt Engines 🚗

Did you know many modern engines use Wet Belts (belt-in-oil systems)?

These belts run inside the engine oil and are often advertised to last 6–10 years or 100,000–150,000 miles.

⚠️ However, due to increasing failure rates, many professional mechanics now recommend replacing wet belts much earlier — typically at:

✅ 50,000–70,000 miles
✅ 5–6 years

Why is this important?

A worn or failing wet belt can break down internally, contaminating the engine oil and potentially causing serious — and very expensive — engine damage.

✔️ Early replacement = prevention
✔️ Prevention = saving thousands in repairs

If you’re unsure whether your vehicle has a wet belt or when it should be replaced, we’re happy to help.
