Some of you will know Sean Augustus and may of heard about his misadventure at Beaulieu Super Car event. If you don’t know, the first picture is Sean welding his clutch friction plate to his flywheel! Putting it politely, a catastrophic failure and well beyond economical repair.

To sort out the issue and for preventive maintenance, the excellent RXT McLeod Clutches was selected. I highly recommend this clutch brand. Especially for those owners who have big power or looking to add big power for the future.

The Mustang now has a brand new twin disc clutch setup with a new slave cylinder, new gearbox oil and a full service and inspection to finish off the repairs 😎

A huge thank you to Steve for booking in his Dark Horse for its first modifications 😎 Pedders Suspension & Brakes UK front camber bolts, BMR Suspension IRS lockout kit, &L H pipe supplied by Nemesis UK Performance Driven JLT Performance open cold intakes supplied by Motorsport and Performance and finished off with Harvey's Geometry 4 wheel alignment with a fast road setup dialled in. What started off as a brilliant Mustang is now even better. Steve has a few more mods in mind once this S650 is out of warranty 😀

It was great to have Adrian’s Chevrolet Camero SS in for an engine oil service and inspection. It was interesting to work on another version of an American V8 😎 and the differences between the driveline between Ford and Chevy. The front end looks so menacing, love it 😀

A huge thank you to Jason for booking in his awesome S550 GT with an ESS fitted for a little more punch!

Booked in for an uprated Harrop Engineering Limited engine oil cooler, CSF Radiators triple pass engine coolant radiator and a Advanced transmission oil cooler for the 10r80 gearbox. Plus, an engine oil & transmission oil service with the 8 solenoid valves replaced to smooth out the gear changes. A lot of work but so much fun to install. Jason wanted to keep on top of all the temps whilst completing track days and spirited fast road trips, hence all the preventative maintenance measures. The differential will be given the same treatment at a later date. All the modified parts were supplied by the excellent Nemesis UK Performance Driven and the fluids by Prospect Autospares An OEM Ford air condenser was replaced at the same time due damage and being almost blocked with road debris. It’s such a shame the coolant & transmission radiators are hidden away, they are a thing of automotive beauty 😎

A big thank you to Simply Mustangs UK for organising a truly awesome day at Santa Pod Raceway My daughter Megan and I had a fantastic day. Thank you to everyone who kindly spoke to me and Megan and Paul Dixon and Julie Felthauser for blasting us up the strip 😎 A proud moment for me seeing all the hard work in action with Rob having fun in his S197 GT. it looked and sounded amazing 😀

Every technician gets that one job every few years where it’s a constant battle from start to finish! Unfortunately for Rob, his awesome S197 was my battle! Booked in for American Racing headers, into 200 cell CAT’s into a MBRP 3 inch exhaust system. Plus, the heavy OEM front subframe was replaced by the excellent BMR tubular K member with engine mounts. Finished off with a tune by the excellent Wortec and wheel alignment by Harvey's Geometry The battle wasn’t to do with the Mustang, it was down to shoddy workmanship in the past. However, the battle was won and I’m pleased to say this S197 sounds biblical and gets up to pace extremely well 😎
