This shows the importance of a service ✅

This Hyundai I800 dropped off for a routine service, all filters renewed, fresh oil, coolant strength checked and adjusted accordingly, windscreen washer fluid filled and brake fluid topped up.

Full inspection carried out we found front discs and pads to be worn, potential seized calliper/sliders, prop shaft centre bearing disintegrated and both front track rod ends no longer preventing the ingress of dirt.

Vehicle left with us for repairs to be carried out early next week

This Mercedes a class in for replacement turbo after passing oil and causing the engine to run away.

Recovery arranged on behalf of the Customer with Robert Lewis. Dropped off, diagnosed new turbo fitted, all necessary gaskets replaced, intercooler and pipes dropped down and cleaned, DPF cleaned to remove all oil contamination, and a fresh air filter along with oil and filter and all back as should be ✅

Ford ecosport in for wet belt 💥

All genuine parts used, and all the correct items changed, to name a few, genuine rocker cover gasket, auxiliary belt, new sump plug, new crank bolt along with washer, block filter & Oil filter, crank seal, and of course wet belt along with oil pump belt. We follow the procedure as set out by Ford with all recommended parts changed. We will not be beaten on price with these for a like for like repair.

We specialise in all wet belts from Citroens Vauxhalls and Peugeots to Fords. They are becoming increasingly common on a lot of cars get in touch to see if this applies to you.

Customer brought this vehicle in with low oil pressure light, found to be low on oil, and given the mileage and symptoms a new wet belt was also recommended.

Sump dropped, oil pick up cleaned to remove any old bits of belt, new belt fitted along with a service and another one saved just in the nick of time. We are doing these regularly anywhere between 40-60k.

This Ford Transit 2.2 in for knocking noise 💥

Upon listening it was evident it was internal so we stripped it down to find cylinders 2 & 4 had abit of a rough time. Full engine rebuild was completed.

List of works include, cylinder rebore 0.5mm, oversized pistons, crank polished and checked, head was cleaned skimmed and pressure tested, all new oil squirters, oil feed and return pipes for turbo, all gaskets stretch bolts etc changed while engine was out, new bottom end bearings and timing chain kit along with pulleys. Full rebuild done the correct way ✅

This customer rang and asked if we could squeeze him in for a drop link, we said sure drop it off.

Upon pulling the vehicle in on the ramp we noticed the noise was a little bit more sinister than a little drop link knock. Upon jacking it up we could see the shock had separated from the top mount, we could see spring was relatively new so we asked the customer if this had been replaced recently, to which it had been by a garage local to him in Coventry less than 2 weeks ago. The bit where it gets scarier is the customer drove from Coventry the day before we fitted him in and stating the steering wheel was shaking and knocking was terrible we could only imagine 😆 new shock, and top mount fitted along with drop link back on the road as new ✅

Peugeot 208 in for suspension noise. Diagnostics revealed that previous garage had fitted top mount on upside down causing suspension strut not to sit correctly in the cup.

Coolant flush as requested by customer. ✅

Quick check of the wet belt which is visible through oil cap on most Citroens and Peugeots, unfortunately the belt had severely cracked so replacement was recommended, new wet belt carried out vehicle back to full bill of health ✅

Another fiesta 1.0 eco boost in for wet belt.

This one arrived sounding worse for wear, we carried out some diagnostics to ensure no permanent engine damage had been caused due to oil starvation before fitting wet belt kit.

Once we was happy with engine we carried out wet belt kit. All genuine parts from ford which maintains manufacturer warranty, upon diagnostics the oil sump was severely blocked, HPFP piston had snapped off pump, so we carried out all necessary repairs along with a MOT, big thanks to the customer for such a lovely review makes the job worth while.

Ford Focus in due to wet belt slipping and damaging the valves.

As you can see in the sump there is the teeth that are missing off the belt! Attached is a photo of the belt where you can see the fibres of the belt coming away from the belt itself and circled is the vacuum pump which unfortunately also fails due to the fibres making their way into the pump itself and causing it to clog.

Head off this one, all new valves, new wet belt kit along with vacuum pump and all necessary gaskets.
