Bargain" Purchase Turned Nightmare? Not Anymore! 🚗💨
A customer recently brought us this Mercedes CLA 200, picked up cheap with known issues. They asked us to perform a software file check after spotting a physical blanking plate on the EGR valve.
What did we find in the ECU?
🚫 EGR deleted
🚫 All DPF diagnostic codes completely mapped out to hide warning lights
Underneath, the DPF had been drilled through rather than properly gutted. This partial blockage was causing severe exhaust back pressure, leading to excessive engine oil consumption!
The owner opted to do things properly:
✅ ECU flashed back to 100% factory stock software
✅ Brand-new DPF installed
✅ EGR system fully repaired and restored
Now, the CLA runs like a dream, oil consumption is back to normal, and best of all—it’s 100% road-legal again!
